The big deal is that there are NBAs that have played drunk (actually drunk, not just had a drink before the game) and will play drunk in the future.
That's according to an anonymous NBAer who was on the show SportsScience (which is an awesome show). Basically he said that he's played drunk before and knows many players that do it too. According to him, he felt it actually improved his performance...the tests done on the show proved otherwise.
I doubt that any NBA is going to openly admit to playing drunk so when Artest says he's had a drink of Hennessy at halftime it more than likely means he's had a lot more than that, IMO.
