well my present company really goes all out...but Ive had quite a few outstanding blasts in the past.

Last year my company rented the entire Boston Museum of Science and held a Ball...gowns and tuxes. That was spectacular. The year before they rented the entire penthouse of a Boston based tower overlooking the harbor.

we are getting bigger, so this year they have rented the House of Blues in Boston for their bash. Should be a real hoot.
Of course all flights and the Boston Seaport Hotel are included.
We also get a night out on Boston Harbor on a cruise ship with Dinner and Dancing and all drinks/transportation back to the hotel...two nights before the actual Xmas party.
Its actually a Week of partying...starts next Sunday night.... My liver can feel it already!

Yeah, don't think anything will top that for awhile.
The best bonus I ever got was from my first ever job when I was a teen. I worked at KFC. My boss walked in with a handful of envelopes, and he personally handed them to the people who were on shift. Inside was two crisp fifty dollar bills. Didn't get anything after that until I worked at Canadian Tire, were I got a $25 gift certificate from the social club... the same club I paid my yearly $25 fees to.

Wait a minute guys. I cancelled Christmas this year. Sorry if you didn't get the memo, I'll fire my assistant just before she leaves the office at 6:30pm on the 24th.

Last year was probably the best for me. Company took us out to Banff and paid for one nights accommodations, dinner, two drinks each (plus two bottles of wine on the table) and breakfast for me and a guest.

This year it was scaled back. Dinner at a downtown hotel in town, possibly two drink tickets, and a $20 cab voucher.

Yes I work at Enmax - those have been the bands playing at our last four Christmas parties.

Always one of the best nights of the year for me. My company throws a good size party(200-300 people), rents out an entire restaurant (Chill Winston - Gastown) and it is awesome! The 20 or so with the most energy will usually end up moving on to an afterparty at a bar or club too.
In fact all of our company parties are awesome. We all get smashed, booz flow all night for free, and pretty much anything goes. No proper corporate behavior necessary.
My work parties are crazier than the parties in my normal social circle. Can't wait for Dec 10th!

Heading out to the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis on Friday. Company is picking up Saturday night's room, and a little fancy dinner. Got a discounted rate on Friday night's room as well.

I'd say there's been a few good Christmas parties I've been too, but my favourite was when I worked at Future Shop. I turned a portable DVD player, and Cranium... both of which were door prizes I won, into his and her's Calgary Flames jerseys (White and Pink).

Just had mine Saturday night. Real good. Won a door prize, a gift certificate for my favorite thing...food. We paid $30 for a ticket in a nice hall, unlimited booze and a taxi chip home. Made out with a coworker who has a serious BF, but it's all good. Can't complain about that aspect about working at a bank - plenty of nice women. Enjoyable night all in all.

Last year we went out for bowling and drinks... bought the boss something nice, and right around Xmas we all get a nice bonus check. It was a good time.

Year before we had the party at the shop and I passed out around 1 am. Secretary took me back home, and I don't remember a damn thing. I had left my car and house keys at the shop, and when I woke up in the morning I was freezing my ass off.

Bedroom window was wide open from my drunken B&E attempt; I didn't really have the wherewithal to shut the window behind me, or take my clothes/shoes off. Word of advice, dont leave your drink unattended around coworkers.

December is usually a blur for most of the employees where I work.

An advertising agency here in Portland hired the Beastie Boys for their Christmas Party.

Allegedly because our company is splitting in two, the Christmas party this year is just going to be small team lunches, which is too bad cause the best Christmas party was the first year I worked for this company - and it was huge with some decent entertainment.

Now, the most fun I have had a Christmas party was when I worked for a small ski store in Vancouver - free drinks all night in the store - I remember being so drunk I couldn't read the book I got as my exchange gift (it was a cartoony ski book).

My favorite Xmas party was when I worked at Chuck E Cheese. They shut down the restaurant at noon on the 23rd and we all got on a greyhound type bus and went to Banff. We started off at the hot pools for a while then we went on a horse drawn sleigh ride.
After that was over we went to a cabin where we had an awesome dinner. After that we went upstairs where there was a live band and an open bar.
It was a great night, but the best part was being able to use the Chuck E Cheese costume when ever I wanted. Chicks love the mouse

Pfft, you should've just had a bitchin' party in the Chuck E Cheese. Think of all the tickets you could've gotten without all the kids in your way!

I might've been at that party. I worked at Chucks as well. Grant the GM and Sergio was one of the managers?

We used to do it up good in Banff at the nice hotel there. This year it sounds like some drinks at the office afterwork on a Thursday, will not be attending this. Sounds like no bonuses this year as well.

Hmmm. I wonder if Sergio was gone by then. Was Margaret the other manager? Brandon O? Justin D?

The best Christmas Party I ever went to was in Australia. Our company had a cruise down the Glenelg river. They had plenty of booze and good Aussie BBQ along with karaoke and a joke gift exchange. It was pretty good. Christmas is always more enjoyable when the daily highs are in the mid 30's.

One place I worked for last year took us out to Muse and gave us iPods, it was nice.
My company Christmas party this year is on Saturday, its usually a great time, good dinner and the CEO always does a great little speech.
