Newsflash Sarah: If you pose for a picture expect it to be used in ways other than that originally intended.

She's quite possibly the dumbest person in politics, and that's a tough job to win.
And this has what to do with her view that the use of it by newsweek was sexist exactly?

Is she not allowed to have an opinion about it?

I hope this happens. It would be a step in the right direction. Comedy is really hurting right now, and this would give the industry the shot in the arm it needs.

He's not in that bad of shape to require Palin to ensure victory. The GOP hasn't trotted out many potential candidates. I can't see anyone unseating him barring an utter disaster over the next two years.

Though, I am curious...why do you want a second term for Obama? What has he done thus far to warrant that?

Only this moronic 21st century Magda Goebbels would describe Beck as clever. Absurd, unintelligible, idiotic, fascist? Certainly. Clever? Not quite.

What scares me the most about this is someone who has never heard of Glenn Beck may actually try to find out who he is.....

Glenn Beck scares the hell out of me just having a voice on TV let alone VP.

If she doesn't want pictures of her in running gear to be on the cover of magazines she shouldn't pose for them. She can moan about it all she wants, but it was her decision to pose for the photos and it was her lack of foresight to not ensure that the usage rights on the pictures were restricted.

Is it sexist? Maybe. Is she naive? Most definitely.

And where does she argue otherwise? She simply said she thought it was sexist and beneath a news publication!

“But Glenn Beck I have great respect for. He’s a hoot. He gets his message across in such a clever way. And he’s so bold — I have to respect that. He calls it like he sees it, and he’s very, very, very effective.”
This sums it all up for me -- that she thinks "he's a hoot", and that's good enough to consider the guy for a position of power. He may be a "a hoot", but I wouldn't hire that guy to walk the dog. He's deranged.

And saying "very, very, very" -- I mean come on, we'd laugh if somebody said that to get a point across on this hockey message board. Intelligent people don't speak that way. I'm not saying she has to be as eloquent as The Leader, but if you sound like a moron, chances are it's a duck.

It isn't so much as what he's done yet, as much as how he has changed the perspective of the US in the world. People used to have a rather low opinion of the states (Bush) and that opinion has changed quite a bit because of how Obama has treated people in other countries. Actually showing them respect for who they are. It does go a long way, especially when your country is at war.

Your entire post was condemning/blasting her for something she didn't dispute.

My entire post was blasting her for not being smart enough to control the way that her image is used. Nice try though

Nice try? What was I trying to do exactly?

She calls the use of a photo sexist and you see that as an opportunity to point out her lack of intelligence? Were we all not aware of how bright she is?

Sorry, I guess I just don't get the pile on mentality.

If Republicans give Palin the nomination, they are jumping of the cliff. It's already the case that reasonable conservatives call themselves independents and moderate conservatives call themselves Democrats.

She allows herself to get into situations where she can be painted poorly over and over again and then plays the victim card as if the world isn't smart enough to pick up on it. The percentage of people who have developed sympathy for her are the same people who thought she was great to begin with, she's not gaining ground with this childish tactic. Actually, I'm not even sure it's a tactic, she just might not be bright enough to do things like limit distribution rights for photoshoot's she's involved in. I'm just sick of hearing about how tough she has it and how the media is against her, blah, blah, blah.

She was featured in, I think, Runners World Magazine a few months ago and the photo was for that issue . . . . so yeah, that's her body. Good for her.

Newsweek, often accused of being a mouthpiece for the left, lifted the photo from there.

One thing about a Palin/Beck ticket, you wouldn't be confused by any attempt to hog the middle of the political spectrum.

Who does she think this guy is? There is only one real HOOT.

You can be sick of it, that's fine. It's quite true though. I can't recall a political candidate being crucified like she was. Some of it legit...some of it just plain wrong.

Hell, Marion Berry was treated better than she was after he bought crack from a prostitute.
