That'll be you some resolution. A little overkill but it'll get the job done.

I tried that with some dumb bitch that rested her door on my car, then hauled her fat ass into her car. Bad ding and a scratch to boot from the door sliding up and down against my car as she wriggled her giant ass onto her seat.
Police can't do anything whatsoever about it. It's not considered vandalism (the route I tried to take) and it's certainly not considered hit and run. It's considered bad luck and they don't have a charge for that.

Thats funny because when I wrote my post I was going to say they're probably obese. They are the worse offenders for that because they gotta squeeze their girth between two cars and a door.

I can totally relate. I got new parking spot at work, about 2 months ago. And since then i have noticed, like you, about a dozen dark blue marks on the passenger side door. (my neighbour who parks on that side, has the same dark blue paint mini cooper).
When i was walking to my car a couple weeks ago, i noticed her pulling in, so i waited for her to come out of the car. When i brought it up to her attention that i have noticed the blue marks on my car that match the color of her car, and that there is about a dozen of them on the exact height, and one could conclude that they came from her car, she straight out denied it. She said that she is always very carefull when she leaves her car not to touch my car, and it was not her. When once again i told her, that its the exact same color, and a dozen of these marks and i park in a garage at home, she still denied it.
Really what can i do now, except suck it up.

a friend of mine went through the same thing at his apartment building. Some knucklehead kept opening the door and hitting his dark green car. The white paint stood out like neon on the door. He talked to him a few times about it, the paint marks kept happening. When he moved out, he walked up to the offending car and kicked it so hard it left a foot sized imprint in the door. The guy probably had trouble opening the door after that.
Not sure I could ever do that, but my friend felt at least a little satisfaction after trying to go about things the correct way and getting nothing back.

Oh, if the police report won't get you anywhere, you could take them to small claims court.
Or just vandalize their car woot!

Even if it was a kid doing this, the parent should still know so them pleading ignorance is meaningless.
Not sure what I would do, something to do with kicking their bumper till it comes off so long as your parkade doesnt have any cameras.
