They showed "Saving Private Ryan" last week, The "Run Time" of this amazing film Is 2Hrs & 45 Min. The History Channel had it Scheduled from 10:00PM to 2:00AM. That's a grand total of 1Hr & 15 Min. of commercials.
The History Channel has a lot of Fantastic Programming, But they are the absolute worst in terms of commercial frequency and lenght of commercial segments.

thats actually pretty much the norm, most hour long shows are set to be 42 mins and allow 17-18 minutes of commercials. Multiply that by 4 and you get somewhere between 1 hour 8 minutes and 1 hour 12 minutes.
