Big win for the Spartans, they play a pretty serious early season schedule so it was good to see them get tested early. If the freshman bigs can do the job inside they're going to be very hard to beat.

I don't really see it as a big upset, I guess.

Syracuse is a tough team that can play with anybody, UNC is a very talented team that lost integral parts of their lineup and reloaded with young blue chippers.

How the game played out was certainly quite a story.

Well Syracuse is pretty much retooling as well (lost Flynn and 2 other starters). The fact that they dominated is a huge surprise.

I call not an upset, or at least a very mild upset.

VCU is a very, very good team and will be in the tournament.

Sowa, Wichita State and Texas could end up playing each other on Tuesday if the Shockers can get by Pitt on Monday.

Are the Shockers for real this year? Are they going to be in the dance? I know Marshall has had a tough couple years replacing Turgeon, is he taking them in the right direction?

Definitely moving in the right direction. I don't know about making the dance. They are awfully young. 1 senior.

They'll be copetitive in the Valley for sure though.

Zags down by 11 in the 2nd Vs Colorado.Might have to get use to a Zag team that wont just run wild on the WCC this year. Losing Daye and as many seniors as this team did last year cant be easy. There in for a battle with there always tough out of conference schedule. Thank god for Mark Few though, at the very least this team will battle every quarter

I'm an Indiana fan, will be interesting to see how the program continues to recover with Tom Crean at the helm. Probably another year of pain before the program reaps the rewards of better recruiting.

A little impatient in the offensive end for the Shocks in the first half. Really hanging with Pitt defensively and on the boards though, I wouldn't be surprised to see Wichita State with the rebounding edge at halftime. 32-21 Pitt at the half.

Nice little 8-2 run to start the 2nd half. 34-29 Pitt.

Pitt wins by 13. Too sloppy for the Shockers, but it was a pretty good performance against a power conference team (very well coached team I might add) and they didn't look out of place, even without their point guard and most experienced player.

I think the Shocks might challenge for the MVC championship this year, they were picked 4th.

Wow, Wichita State is really putting it on Iowa tonight. 44-30 at the half. Shooting 63% and even better than that from the 3 point line (8/12).

The 7 footer (Garret Stutz) has 16 pts and 2 3 pointers!

Clemson up to #19 in the rankings. They haven't played many good teams yet, but they've dominated every game. Can't wait for January when the ACC games begin.
What a turnaround this program has taken the last 3 years.
