years ago i tried to go to sunshine without buying the pass. there was a check stop set up at the turn off. They just made me go back and buy one. not sure what the ticket would be though. A friend had the same thing happen at lake louise, and he just had to buy one on the spot.

I have a doctor/specialist to see in Banff next week. I'm not sure how i was refered to a doctor in Banff, seeing as i live in Calgary, but, I'm not sure if I want to buy a park pass for that visit.

how could we forget that! the fine is $100 by the way, if you forgot. and putting on a leash is free, just don't enter into or near a school yard

Might as well have a few facts in this thread.

Here is the link to the Banff Park fees.

It is roughly $10/day for and adult or $20/day for a family.

An family annual pass is ~$140.

So if it is just you, and you will be there 2 days, you are looking at about $20.

The other thing to keep in mind is the pass hangs from your rear view mirror and is transferrable from car to car. So if you have a family member who has one you can always borrow it for the trip.
