If you want to have a logical discussions... A little research into the issue tells me the mother is 23 years old and has a now 7 year old little girl in addition to the baby which would be two and a half now. The person she was engaged to was the father of neither, although I'm not sure whether or not the children had the same father...
It's not rocket science.
I'm not blaming her for the death of her child. In theory, anyone can wind up with a psycho. Her situation, (young mother of two from two different men, engaged to a third,) strongly suggests that a lifestyle change may have resulted in a different outcome for both mother and child.
The good news is that she has gone back to school and is working to change her life. It's a sad story for sure, and I can only hope that she continues on a better path than the one she was on.

Very judgemental post. What evidence do you have that the man is a "psycho"? You state in your first paragraph that "I'm not sure whether or not the children had the same father" and, in the second, describe her situation as "young mother of two from two different men...". Seems like you're making a lot of assumptions without knowing enough facts. Not a logical argument at all. You seem to be letting your uninformed judgements shape your opinion, rather than any actual logic.
