That's like giving up all moral credibility with one push of the button. Not saying I'm a "good" person but I don't think I could live with myself if I didn't think I was at least trying.

Deer, yes.

Dog... maybe if we used the "dog would probably be somewhere in India" principle, as outlined by Boblobla, I could do it. If I had to watch, then no.

Ethical question number 2.

your wife of girlfriend of someone important to you is given a week to live unless she receives a transplant of a key organ that guarantees the death of the donor. The only person in the world that matches up to her incredibly rare blood type is one of your parents.

Would you be willing to sacrifice your parent for your love?

Do the parents have a say? Or just bonk them on the head with a big stick and be done with it?

Does everyone in the world get the opportunity to push the button? That's the only way it's fair.

How about this question, you can push the button, receive the million dollars, and one person dies, AND everyone else in the world has the opportunity to push the button as well. If you decide not to push the button, no one else gets the opportunity. Do you then push the button?

Not my decision, it would be my ficticious parents decision.

On the $10m for a year to get 1 person/day to press the button, if my quota was then 365 button presses I'd do it. Otherwise I wouldn't as I suspect there would be one day of the year I wouldn't be able to find someone to press it. It also depends how much I would have to disclose. I assume I have to give them the whole story and not just say "press this button".

this is an ethical question for you, its not a team vote or discussion, you have to make the decision yourself, however and obviously both parties will know about the decision afterwords.

Wouldn't press it. No amount of money is worth the knowledge that you just killed someone.

But then again, presidents and decision makers at high levels do it all the time. They can order a pilot to drop a bomb somewhere that they know is going to kill x amount of people, yet they never have to put a face on the victims. How do they sleep at night?

For sure, that would be sweet. But I somehow envision that I'd get cut-off in traffic by some clown during my travels and end up following him around the rest of the day while mashing the button repeatedly until he finally kicked it.

Yes. You'd have to meet my mother but you'd instantly understand. Instantly. And Mrs. Cowperson is a buddy.

As to the box and the button question, yessssssssss . . . mmmmm, no . . . . er, I mean yesssssss.

Yes to being a murderious . . . . . .

I'd press that button so fast, and then believe that the person I killed died from over-stimulation and pleasure from non-stop sex; that way, atleast they'd go out happy and with a bang (no pun intended).

heres another question, can we determine how they are gonna croak? but it would really suck if you were the random person after you pressed it.

The needs of the one outweigh the needs of the random.

No chance. Some of you are really cheaply bought; a million dollars isn't even that much anymore. Why not just find a clean way to make a mil and not be a murderer?

I do think that over 50% of people would push the button though, which kind of makes me sick to think about. It's those type of people that allow things like the holocaust to occur in their own country with their support.

No, but that leads to the question of . . . would the method of death really make a difference in your decision.

would you be more eager to push that button if the victim had a 6 minute orgasm and dropped off painlessly as oppossed to a person being slowly roasted over a fire?

I could only press the button and kill another human being if they were of the terrorist, murdered, rapist etc category, and the price to do so would be pretty low.

Killing the deer for $10K is pretty easy, but would prefer that the animal carcass was actually used for something.

$100K for pet dog - depends on why - eunanithing from pain - easy, getting rid of a pest dog, also not so bad, killing CoCo just because, not quite there.

Nope, but I'm thinking about a 2 button box, the first button is the million dollar person dies thing.

The second button is $100,000 and you have to have sexual relations with boy george, and he gets to be the man, and its published on the internet with notification going to your family friends and coworkers.

Admit it: You stumbled upon this movie while googling "Cameron Diaz's box" didn't you.
