C2C is also on nightly on cjob.com.
It's on at 11pm our time, instead of 1 am, and the commercials are different so it's a bit refeshing to get away from qr77's lame ads. Plus, it'll help you get a couple hours more sleep.

Talking about Area 51 again?

Quote:
At about 11 p.m. PST, Thursday, September 11, 1997, he designated one phone line for Area 51 employees who wanted to discuss the secretive base. Several callers claimed to work at Area 51, but the bizarre highlight of the night came when a seemingly distraught and terrified man claimed to be a former Area 51 employee recently discharged for "medical" reasons. He cited malevolent extraterrestrials at Area 51 ("extra-dimensional beings" who are not "what they claim to be") and an impending disaster that the government knew would take out "major population centers." Midway through this call, Bell's program went off the air for about 30 minutes. After talking to network engineers, the official explanation was that the network satellite had "lost earth lock" or forgotten where the earth was. Network officials were baffled, and the cause remains a mystery.

I've never listened to the show apart from the guy pretending to be Gordan Freeman, but isn't the whole show talking about conspiracies/aliens/shadow organizations and the like? So a show, that is been on the air for 24 years, has a technical problem and it happens during a guest talking about something spooky. It's seem like it would be hard to call that weird or suspicious, but rather inevitable?

I used to listen to the show all the time when I was younger. Some shows scared the crap out of me and others l found facinating. When l used to go camping l would use my old walkmen with the AM reciever to try and find a signal and no matter where l was in North America, 9/10 l could find the show.

Bob Lazar famously claimed that he worked at Area 51 in reverse engineering an alien craft, but he seems to have been thoroughly discredited:

The disc is one of nine, given to the American government in an "exchange" program in the early 1970's. The makers of the craft and providers of the fuel were from the Zeta Reticuli star system. What we exchanged for the technology is not known. A back engineering program began in 1979 of the remaining hardware and technology.

I doubt if Yeti would ever let that happen.

JC called back? I used to listen to Coast to Coast occasionally for the laughs, and JC was the best. I thought he too had disappeared.
