I have a 2003 Protege 5, so maybe a $8,000 car, and there isnt a chance in hell it would ever be in a Wal-Mart garage while I own it.

No but saying someones car is cheap is unnecessary ###### baggery

I have had great luck at the Southland Walmart shop.

I have also had HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experiences at Crowfoot Honda, T&T Honda, Charlesglen Toyota (<legendarily bad experience), Sunridge MAzda and a number of small Kaltire/Certiguard type places.

I am pretty sure you can get screwed anywhere, and have good experiences anywhere.

I tried to take my car to a wallmart for a simple tire rotation a couple years ago. They were going to take it in and work on it until they saw what kind of car it was.

"We don't work on those types of cars" the guy tells me.
"why not? I ask
"If something goes wrong, they're too expensive to fix" the guy states

I think I ended up taking it to Canadian tire. haha

I surprised I wasnt labelled the ######.. autotrader.ca has an average price of 13-17 for those cars so I dont see how Hoot was being a jerk.. I sure as hell hope you didnt pay 20 for a car that costs roughly that brand new.

Okay so I was about right saying $13-16K. I wasn't meaning anything by it but truly in the big picture that is not an expensive car.

I think you are taking the word cheap a little to heart. I was talking big picture, it's not like I called it a beater.

And it is a nice car I wasn't ever saying it wasn't. I guess this is a learning experience for you to book somewhere good before the snow falls next year.

A mazda 3 is an inexpensive car.

My wife had a 04 Mazda and at about 90k the bearings went on the front driver side. Might be a mazda thing.

a couple years back I took my old piece of crap car to get an oil change at Wal-mart. How do you screw up an Oil Change in the simplest way possible...don't put the Oil cap back on at the end.

nothing is better than driving down the road when the oil starts to come out of the top and the hood starts puffing out black smoke. For months afterward anywhere I went it was with the smell of burning oil on the engine.

You do know that you could have sued them right?

My friend had a oil change done at Mr. Lube and they forgot to put his capp back on and the engine blew and they were responsible for all damages.
