Good question, I'll probably tap the collective wisdom of the RFD users.

One rumor is that the Starwood card might be resurrected through a different credit card company, and current Starwood card holders will have their fee waived for the first year. Just a rumor though.

The Royal Mastercard is to be affiliated with the new Westjet loyalty program, to be released in the next few months. The dollars earned are for use on any Westjet flight or vacation, just lilke cash, so there are no blackouts or anything to deal with. The actual percentage return you are getting I am not sure of yet.

Meantime I like the PC Mastercard, the reward percentage is higher than most, with purchase protection and extended warranty.
