It would be nice to get Burris. He can make mistakes but has so many natural talent I would like to see what the coaching staff could do with him. He would definatly be huge upgrade over Crandell and a better long term solution than Khari.
All this talk about season tickets makes me wish I was back up there and going to all the games. The season tickets are definatly worth it if any one is considerng them.

Sure Burris would be a positive. I am more interested in the Stamps looking at both Ed Hervey and Chris Brazell. You can have a great QB but you need somebody to get open, catch it and do something after the reception. We haven't had this for years. Khari will function very well with a couple of studs like this. The Stamps should look for a Dave Sapunjis, Vince Danielson type for the inside with thier pick, or through a trade... We don't need Lumsden.

My only concern with Hervey is that at times he seems to be a bit of a head case. If he were able to keep his head on straight he would be a great pick-up as he has great recieving skills and speed to burn. I guess that Higgins would be the best person for deciding whether or not Hervey is worth the risk and just has had some unfortunate events or if he is actually a head case that will provide problems regularly.

Meanwhile, the Saskatchewan Roughriders were unable to re-sign quarterback Henry Burris in time to prevent him from becoming a free agent. Burris will start negotiating with the Calgary Stampeders this week.

Thats potentially very good news for us... hopefully Burris isn't the only high profile player we're talking to.

Petrie wrote that Edmonton, Hamilton and Sask have all pulled out of the Burris sweepstakes and said that Burris told some Rider players that he would sign in Calgary.
Good news for the Stamps since they are the only team going after him there won't be a bidding war.

Sportsnet (Marty York) is reporting an offer was made for 3 years, 1.2 million (400K/year)...like I predicted earlier, these guys have deep pockets and are buying a championship calibre(?) team fast.

Well I was completely wrong I really thought Burris was going to stay with the Riders. I have to say now I really think Burris is serious on joining the Stamps. Curious what will happen with Jones Ottawa bound?

Well I won't believe it until I see Hank at the PC with his Stamps jersey and his sig on the contract but if that happens, then this is great!
Even better is hearing all of the crying and whining coming out of our inbred friends to the east... we should start a pool: how long until those crazies in Rider-ville vandalize and dump crap on Hank's lawn for "lying" to them.

Rider fans are now acting like they don't care if Burris leaves. Before they were annointing him as their savior, but now that it looks like he is leaving, they are now saying that he's not that good a QB and the Nealon is a better QB.

Haha, I know. I made a post on riderfans.com that got deleted because I pulled up their quotes about Burris pre-FA and showed their hypocracy.
I hope their team goes down in Flames with Greene at the helm, I just love hearing the crying and whining coming out of there.

riderfans.com is by far the funniest site on the web - about 75% of the current threads are about Burris - he's coming back, he loves Regina, he's a traitor, he's a greedy little bitch, well at least we'll get Khari, Nealon rules - screw Burris, Calgary media's to blame, let's start a petition, can we put a cap on Burris threads, blah blah blah - just taking it overboard.
...I can't wait to mozey on over there when CGY kicks the crap out of the Riders this season B-)

Oh man, I know, talk about bi-polar, hey???
I'll love rubbing Stamps wins in their faces this coming year; I know I'm going to get banned from the trolling I'll be doing.
