Yeah but might be easier rules in the CFL for a catch. Maybe just need to catch get one foot down and that's enough.

In NFL for example, you have to make the catch and maintain possession after hitting the ground. Like the incomplete pass call in the first Raiders game this year in the endzone.

great catch by our two Super Slots. Even better TD catch by Copeland. 24-17 Calgary.

Canuck-lover Suitor needs to shut up about that catch. He has possesion of the ball, his foot touch the ground and the ground made him fumble. It's a catch.

I forgot the rulings on how many times the team are allowed to challenge. BC already lost a challenge on Copeland TD. Now another challenge?

I believe you get one free challenge, and then a second challenge, which if you lose, you lose a timeout.

Agreed. Still not sure about the call, but Suitor needs to shut up about it already.

Freaking Cuthbert jinxed DeAngelis again. This is the thrid time this season he mentioned about missed field goal. All 3 times DeAngelis missed the field goal.

It's true, kinda creepy actually.

Interception Stamps, probably the turning point.

hahaha. If FirstGameMan Webb was in there he would have tipped it to the receiver and BC would have scored a touchdown.

Has anyone had a worse first game than Webb?

CFL reffing is so strange, that should have been a pass interference call on B.C. Sandro with another attempt..............

Makes it.

Noticed Cuthbert didn't even say anything about missing field goal?

lol I never thought of that.

B.C. is killing themselves with penalties, just wiped out a good return. And again, negates a 1st down on a holding penalty. Bleh they got the 1st down anyway.

Good game by the Stamps, they turned it up when they needed to. Got some help (maybe) from the officials, but good win.

Brutal call ruined the game......no way was the dude downed by contact when Miles intercepted it.......If the WR doesn't catch the ball, it's ruled incomplete....but Miles intercepts it and he's ruled down by contact.....brutal.....ruined the game.....stamps got away with one there.....but in the end, were clearly the better team and deserved the win.

I thought it was a bad call, but the explanation makes sense now. Lewis did survive the first contact with the ground (his foot), and his second contact with the ground ended the play.

Yeah, seemed like all the calls went the Stamps way; and that's coming from one who hates the Lions. No complaints, good win still!

Calgary won 27-14.

Both team started slow in this game. No score after the first period. Only Reynolds and Mallette did something on that period.

2nd period was a totally different ballgame as both teams started trading points. On the 2nd half, the Stamps defense started playing better and the BC Lions started commiting some bad penalties. There was some questionable calls on the 2nd half which probably helped the Stamps with the win. TSN commentator Glen Suitor won't shut up about the Nik Lewis catch or fumble. As it looks on the replay, Nik Lewis caught the ball then he was touched and went down on the turf. It looks like his elbow hit the ground really hard that made the ball loose. Korey Banks recovered the ball. Stamps challenged the call (down by contact) and the challenged won. A few plays later, Copeland made an amazing catch at the end zone. This time challenged the call and lost. TD stand. Keon Raymond made an important interceptions close to the end of the game.

Pretty classy on Hufnagel's part by killing time instead of trying to score another TD or score a field goal.

Defensive Player of the Game: Charleston Hughes with 2 QB sack, pressuring Pierce almost all night and help stop Mallette in the 2nd half.

Offensive Player of the Game: Joffrey Reynolds. Way to go Reynolds in shutting up Jojuan Armour. Armour is all talk but he can't back up his mouth. I really enjoyed it whenever Reynolds or Burris ran the ball for more yards just because it makes Armour look bad.

Special Team: I guess Demetrius Summers because of that 75 yards kickoff return that gave the Stamps the boost.

Stamps is in first place again by themselves with 7-5 record but they will be tied with Edmonton or Saskatchewan after tomorrow.
