I think the last wedding that had an open bar, I had something like 15 beers, 6 glasses of wine, 5 glasses of champagne, a cigar ... and I managed to wake up 4 hrs later for breakfast and to catch a train out! I didn't even feel hung over, though it was probablycause I was still probably drunk and it was like taking a nap.

OK, I call BS.
First if I am profiling you, I peg you at a 5'6" to 5'7" Asian chap that weighs around 140-150 lbs tops. Correct me if I am wrong. I have never met you in person, so I don't know, that is just my instinct.
You also are not a binge type drinker to my knowledge, thus I think you don't have the bodily aclimitation to such volumes. If you drank all of that in completion, you would most likely be hospitalized.
So, you either drank 15 O'Douls (i.e. 0.5% beers) or simply are counting the ones you went to the "open" bar to grab, even though you most likely only drank a sip or two from your previous one and "lost" it. Same with the wine and champagne.
I am 6'2". I don't have a six pack. Hell I don't even have a twelve pack. I have a full blown 24 pack (OK, maybe an 18 pack) capable of withholding copious amounts of alcohol and even I am going to say that what you quote to drink is close to my limits on a good day.
Again, correct me if I am wrong, but I seriously call BS.
As to the OP, not a bad mix, but as Cowboy said, you are open to one "drink" being popular to the point you wear it out.
Open bars are expensive, and very, VERY wasteful. At the end of the evening you are going to see a ton of partially drunken bottles/glasses. THAT is going to piss you off.
Drink tickets for the first few, $2 or $3 after and you don't have that problem as much.
People disrespect free.

Shawnski is right. Even a loonie or twoonie bar keeps people more accountable... they still get drunk but they at least won't "lose" their drinks and just go get new ones for free.

The average consumption is 5 drinks per person, some will drink more, some less, but this is the average. 100 people = 600 drinks, sounds like your fine at the high mark. Moms, old folks, kids, and drivers won't have more than one or two, so even with say, 4 people out of the loop that opens up 16 drinks.

It's never enough booze. Beer is always preferred by the masses IMO. You'll end up with a bunch of extra wine, some extra liquor, and be totally out of beer. My two cents.

Without having any idea of how old you are, how old your friends are, how many seniors you have invited, how many people in total you have invited, or knowing anything about your lifestyle...
You need to at least double the beer.
If your crowd is anything like my crowd was when we were that age of everybody getting married within the same 3-5 years, people reall kick it up a notch at weddings in particular, and free bar weddings especially. I cant see anyone drinking that much wine, at least, not until they find out that there is no more beer.

25 drinks over over 12 hrs? Half of those (i.e. the champagne and the wine) were toasts during dinner. Had about 4 beer before the dinner, champagne, wine and a beer during the dinner reception with all the toasts, and 10 after dinner (9pm to 4:30am). Thats not hard at all. Went from 3pm to 4:30am.
I didn't "lose" any, most of them were during the reception.
I did 23 shots in an hour in 1st year, did a few 15+ in a night on pub crawls in my undergrad, did 28 shots in a night once but that night didn't go so well. Did 7 drinks in 5 minutes the other night (shots) and I was perfectly fine, surprised most of the people there. I wouldn't say I'm a binge drinker, I have stretches where I drink a lot (usually something is going on, travelling, start of university, finishing off my last year and going out every night) but otherwise, I'm not really a binge drinker.

If you call the owner of a reputable liquor store, they will often not only give you a discount, but take returns on the unopened bottles. Double up your order, and return what is not used. Simple as that.
My wedding cost me about $7,500 in booze (open bar, includes gratuities) for an event that ran from about 4 to 2 a.m.. There were 200 or so invites, with about 160 drinkers, with forty of those people heavily drinking. I had some friends throw out their cards and order shooters (they asked the hotel to get assorted bottles and had staff handing out shots of assorted things). The hotel charged a premium on everything. I likely could have done the same in my own home by purchasing at a liquor store for about $2000.
