How the heck did he steal a car? And get out with it? Or if he was already out, how did that happen?

He left with the German chick ... it was her car. She got out.
Pretty good episode, loved the music. I'm not sure how they do a season of House if he suddenly has feelings. I hope they don't pusify him.
I have this thing where I am unable to watch people do karaoke or do things that I would find embarrassing. Can't explain it, but it makes me incredibly uneasy. I spent most of that rapping sequence with my head in a pillow ... it was unbearable for me.

I agree about the music, I thought that a couple of times throughout, that the music was really good.

Haha, I'm exactly the same way. An old friend of mine had a perfect name for it but I can't remember it... contact embarrassment, or something like that.

If anybody was interested the song when he was laying on the bed a few scenes in was "Love Vigilantes" by Iron and Wine, and the song at the end was "Seven Day Mile" by The Frames.
Shazam on the iPhone is a required app when watching House.

Yeah, I know, I saw it, I just meant the whole scene seemed contrived to force the ultimate problem with him and 'Freedom Maker(?)' at the amusement park.
I mean why would a visitor trust a patient like that? Why wouldn't groundsmen stop him? How did he even get past the exit in that situation? It didn't make a lot of sense.
Add to that the fact he gets taken to a fundraiser and has a drink (very bad if you're on meds and under care obviously) and some other situations and it just seemed like the reality was even more out the window than usual.
I really like the show, and I thought this episode was decent. Just not great. It all didn't fit for me.
Maybe I was just expecting too much.

That episode was wicked until the whole musical box thing and the mute girl suddenly starts to speak and playing the Cello again. It's just feels too contrived to me.
It just feels against the entire ethos of House. People don't magically reawake from things like that and it feels like a big cheat and gives false hope to people.

Great episode!
I wonder if Potente will return in a later episode or is that over?

Pretty sure it was Bach's Cello Suite #1
Here is a link to Yo-Yo Ma performing it:

I love house and I thought it was okay. Its just not the same with him not being in his hospital screwing up his people.

Just finished tonight's episode. Was pretty awesome. Loved the last line... "Well, I guess we'll find out." Hell yeah!
(I'm almost as excited for this new season of House as I am for the new season of hockey.)

Last week was the premiere of House. This week was the premiere of thirteen, imo.

Wow, last night's episode was excellent!
I enjoyed it much more than last week, more like the old formula that I prefer for the show.
Sets up a lot of future drama.

I like this show and so does my British gf who was initially skeptical of Hugh Laurie being in a dramatic role. She was used to seeing him in comedic roles like Blackadder and Jeeves & Wooster. She likes the show immensely and has accepted him as a this misanthropic foul git of a human.
I loved it in Season 4 when "Big Love" punched House in the mouth. I wished more people punched him out!
