Wow, imagine playing a team with Gore, Chris Johnson, Andre Johnson and Brees. Those 4 players would destroy any team.....but to draft that team you'd need to be in a 3 person league!!

So I needed a combined 21pts from Manning and Dwight Clark tonight to beat my buddy in one of my other leagues. First play from scrimmage: 75 yard TD from Manning to Clark. Love it!

Haha thanks, unfortunately the one league I lost in was our one, playin you. All's I needed was 15pts from Brady for a win and instead he got 0.86. What an a-hole.
EDIT: Haha wow I must've been out of it yesterday. Dallas Clark.

In a keeper league? Pass...
Ward's getting near the end of his career and is sketchy in fantasy anyway. And even though he had a big week last week, I still say McGahee will have lost the starting job to Ray Rice sometime this season. I think dude's tryin to capitalize by selling McGahee while he's temporarily got some trade value.
Mendenhall's been disappointing to this point in his career but has also battled injury. It hasn't been solely due to lack of performance. And even though Mewelde Moore looks like he may become the #1 guy there for the time being, Mendenhall's still the first round pick on a run-first team, I'm sure he'll see plenty of chances to be the go-to guy there. Santonio Holmes is gonna be a stud. I'd take him over Ward right now in a regular format league, let alone a keeper league.
PS- I can't believe I just gave advice to a Falcons fan... Should be an interesting battle for the NFC South title this year, I can't wait for the Monday nighter Nov. 2nd.

Steelers aren't a run-first team anymore.
In the first 2 games they passes 78 times and ran 45 times.
That isn't even attempting a balance. Parker hasn't been a game changer for over a season, Mendenhall was hurt most of last season. The Steelers adapted to a passing team and even the Bus thinks his old team is shifting to an air attack.
Quote:
Willie Parker: I haven't seen much from him. Rashard Mendenhall: I haven't really seen him, period. One thing I have seen is Mewelde Moore making plays. And I think the little guy's going to get more of those opportunities as the Steelers continue to grow into what I think will be more of a passing team in 2009.

But to the original question, I think Hines Ward is coning to the end of his run and Holmes is going to start to become the go-to guy. Yeah, Ward will still have some big games this year, but in a keeper league over the next 2-3 years it will be Holmes.
And McGahee will have a better year than Mendenhall, but he is being pushed by a highly touted rookie (Ray Rice) and may find his injury history causing him to be limited later in the season, just to try and help him last.
Your RBs do look vulnerable, but in a keeper league I don't think you want to trade 2 younsters for 2 old guys unless you are going for it this year.

Hines Ward is to the point of his career where his value to the Steelers eclipses his value to a fantasy team. The guy still has seasons left, but he's going to be blocking down field more often than he is the one with the ball. He's still a great player, but his role is changing.
Gotta agree with the advice above.

LaDainian Tomlinson (SD - RB)
Ryan Grant (GB - RB)
Cedric Benson (Cin - RB)
Darren Sproles (SD - RB)
Ricky Williams (Mia - RB)
LeSean McCoy (Phi - RB)
I was worries I was reaching when I grabbed Sproles, but I'm not disappointed I got him when I did. LT really hurt me last year, and this year is starting the same.
With Westbrook back in the "will he or won't he" play situation, do I keep McCoy because he may be valuable, trade him to the Westbrook owner, or look for value on the market (but I think it will take a game of production for there to be any value there)?

I have McCoy as well, I drafted him believing Westbrook would go down. Its still hard to say if Westbrook's current injury will make him miss much time. If I was the Eagles I would sit him versus the Chiefs.

Who should I start this week?
Brees vs. New York Jets
Rivers @ Pittsburgh
I'm leaning towards Brees, but that Jets defense scares me more than the Steelers.

That is a rough choice of QB's.....
First REAL test for Brees, and he was even a bit confused by the defense Buffalo put in front of him.

That is a tough call. All I'll say for Brees is keep in mind this one's in the Dome. It was really windy during that Buffalo game which I think contributed to his low passing #'s(though the Buffalo DB's were also all over the Saints receivers).

I'm not going to lie, I think any QB facing the Jets defense should sit on your bench. Until someone puts up a decent day against them.

That is a tough call. I'd probably like Roethlisberger against that Charger defence better too. I could make a case for and against either one of Brees or Rivers against those teams. Although I think the matchup is a bit more favorable for Rivers. Not sure if it's enough to make up the differenct between him and Brees though.

I tried to and someone beat me to it since I was last on the waiver wire.
Tough decision.
Ravens D @ New England
or
Colts D at home against the Seahawks.
Thoughts?

That's quite the dilema you've got there sir.
I seriously have no gelpful answer for you.....but I'll give it a shot.
Even without Freeny, I'd start the Colts D against Seneca Wallace becuase they will be passing all day long. Indy's offense should dominate that game.
