I went to Wal-Mart with our 3 month old and had no problems getting them to take the picture.

Don't fly United. Its not worth the hassle. They are cancelling flights on hours notice. If a plane isn't full enough, they just cancel the flight, even if there isn't room on the next flight for the passengers who's flight was cancelled. The last thing you need with a baby is getting stuck in an airport for 8 hours on standby waiting for a flight.

BTW, I know on Westjet (not sure about the other guys) if there is an empty seat available you can actually use your carseat on board, even though you didn't pay for it.

If that is possible, I would highly recommend it, both for the same safety reasons you use it in a care (and you wear seatbelts on airplanes), but also because it is nice having the seat for him/her.

Just make the request when you check in.

Where do you get this? Will it fit on a Britax car seat?

It's called asnap and go from Gogo Babyz. Echildren usually carries it, but is sold out (which I found out when I went to buy one this morning, but they say they will order them for you if they havenone on hand)

So I wound up buying a Kolcraft Universal 2. It's like an umbrella stroller that holds thecarseat. It only weighs 12 pounds (less than the carseat) and was only $99 and fits all carseats. I think it'll handle travel a little better as well.

Yes browna, when you are checking in and have 47 bags to check and 13 for carry on we will all be looking at you laughing.
Telling this to the man who brought 10 pairs of footwear for a 7 day trip to the Domincan... (sorry hubby...)
