I honestly mean no offence, everyone is entitled to like what they want to like, but I'm just sitting here and totally not shocked to see that you like Two and a Half Men, while I'm here thinking that show is what's wrong with TV and there needs to be more things like Better Off Ted, and Chuck, and Life, all of which I'd bet even money on you hating.
Wow.. that's quite a rant isn't it? Again, sorry. I just can't stand your taste in.... anything I guess.
Do you like Nickleback?

hahaha, that's all good. That post actually put a big smile on my face. Believe me, i'm well aware that 2.5 men isn't a "good" show. It's trash TV, but so is Big Brother and I never miss an episode of that. It's entertainment, not everything has to be a work of art.
For the record, I don't hate Nickelback, but no, I wouldn't say I like them either. I just don't believe they are the devil like a vast majority of people. I don't mind a few of their songs.

Exactly...I don't know why every movie, tv show or song has to mean something.

You're putting Megan Fox and Jenna Elfman in the same class?? Shouldn't even be in the same sentence.

We need more shows like Chuck? Really? Maybe I need to give it another chance, but the episode I saw felt totally generic and pass-worthy...

Big Love really is an interesting show. My girlfriend always watched it and at first I felt it was kind of slow, however it just slowly gets its hooks into to you. There's not a lot of crazy action, but the story lines intertwine in a way where you have to keep watching. It's a good time.

I read Under the Banner of Heaven a few years ago and was amazed by the fact that polygamy was actually practiced. When I drove from Calgary to Tucson a couple years ago, my girlfriend and I did a little side tour of Colorado City, AZ. Very interesting.
I like Big Love because of my amazement that polygamy is practiced so intensely in areas of Utah, Arizona and B.C. and the show explores some of those issues with a modern twist. I moves a bit slow so I cant watch a season at a time on DVD (like I could with 24, Dexter, etc...) but I still enjoy it over several weeks.

Sorry but Chuck is awesome. It's a light show that's done really well with a kickass cast.

Yup, definitely Fringe. My wife and I have been counting down the days and rewatching all of season one and formulating all sorts of new theories about what's going on.
We'll probably also watch So You Think You Can Dance; season premiere is tomorrow night, though I'm less keen on the early, audition episodes, so I'll probably get into it a few weeks in.

I'm going to give Stargate Universe a look. Other than that it's sports and wait for "Lost".

The first part of the first season was weak to say the least. But it started to come into it's own in the later stages of the first season and really got good in the second season.

Law & Order: SVU, Criminal Minds and How I Met Your Mother are must see for me. Not sure how I'll juggle SVU and Criminal Minds since they're on at the same time. One of them will take a back burner to the other.
Other shows I'll watch if I'm able catch them are The Big Bang Theory, House, and CSI.
Most importantly, I'll be watching hockey.

I used to watch SVU, but I just can't stomach Mariska Hargitay or her character. Plus, I found the show becoming too one-dimensional. The original L&O is still top dog.

I'll be sticking to Heroes this Fall. Volume 3 got really weird and really dumb, but I felt Volume 4 made up for most of it and got it back to a lot of what made it successful in its first season (minus that STUPID GODAWFUL 50's FLASHBACK EPISODE GAH!!). Having seen the trailer for Volume 5, I have to say that there seems to be quite a coherent story and arc set in place, so I'll keep with it.
New shows I'll be trying out will be Glee and Flashforward, but only in passing. I learned my lesson the last few television seasons not to get invested in new shows until they've "established" themselves (i.e. not gotten cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons).
Also, props to kermit for mentioning Life. Man, I miss that show

I think she's hot, but that show is too much of the same every episode.

I wouldn't expect too many original ideas from Chuck, but it has a really tight cast (they all have chemistry with one another it seems), and it's a really well done show. It might not be mindblowing, but it is a very easy way to be entertained for an hour. Probably one of my favourite new shows I started watching.
Thankfully it doesn't start up again until March, which means that my favourite TV shows are pretty well spaced out.
Aside from my previously mentioned Dexter and The Office, I'm really looking forward to Top Gear, probably the show I anticipate most.
