Nothing good can come out of a company that brought us the Jonas Brothers. Damn them and their white foam cannon!

If you want to level hate at a video game publisher, hate on Activision. They're worse now than EA has ever been.
Honestly, that's a discussion for the tech board or another thread but maybe I've just heard silly things from people inside bioware (just in Edmonton afterall) about how things changed when EA got their hands in there...

But this article blew me away

LOL, EA's management plans to spent 66-75% of a game's budget not on the actual game but on marketing. Geez...A good game should sell itself.

Marvel Superheroes - now empowered by the might of chastity rings!

(a comic reader who's noticed that in the past month, all the superheroes in marvel have been randomly sleeping around like there's no tomorrow - even Peter Parker had a drunken night by accident with his roommate's sister and Tony Stark is getting it on with his secretary while he is slowly going ######ed by erasing his own brain).

Not a fan of this, but I don't think it means the end for Marvel.

Disney also owns Touchstone, Miramax, and Hollywood Pictures. These companies have all produced some steallar stuff despite Disney ownership.

Pixar has maintained its integrity under Disney as well. If anything, Disney has a pretty decent track record of allowing its acquisitions to operate automously and continue doing what made them successful.

Is Pixar owned by Disney? I thought it was owned by Apple and Steve Jobs.

Jobs sold it to Disney a few years ago. He's on the Disney board now.

Hey not to derail this, but it appears Marvel "Studios" is seperate (thank God)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Studios

Also, Spider-man 4 is in the works and could star the Lizard and Carnage as the main villians. (link)

A Venom spin-off is in pre-production too.

Venom (TBA)

In July 2007, Avi Arad revealed a Venom spin-off was in the works. The studio commissioned Jacob Aaron Estes to write a script, but rejected it the following year. In September 2008, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (Sony's Zombieland) signed on to write.

Disney bought the whole thing, comic books, characters, movies, everything.

I'm worried about what'll happen to the Marvel themed part at Universal Islands of Adventure! But individually I love both Disney and Marvel, not sure how I'm feeling about them together yet, though.

Gives Disney exposure to the young male demographic that they have lost ground on in recent years. Ironman 2, Spiderman 4 and Avengers should help cover the cost...Don't DIS http://www.google.com/finance?q=NYSE%3ADIS The Walt Disney Company...then again if you ever watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXA2h...eature=related (parts 1-6) you might...

Sure I'll put my life savings on that one! Oh wait, it's not 1968 anymore? (year before WB bought DC).

No Marvel Entertainment is the main parent company over Marvel Publishing who does the comics. Marvel Studios is their film studio which is also under Marvel Entertainment.

When Marvel went backrupt in the 90s from the comics bubble, Toy Biz purchased Marvel and merged it with the toy company to form Marvel Entertainment.
