Too much information.
When I lived in Lethbridge, I went to Blarney Stone a few times. They have Yuk Yuk's there one night per week, and karaoke another night. Nice enough place, but I liked Scores better. Then I moved closer to downtown, and practically lived at Average Joe's. I always sat at the bar and got to know the bartenders pretty well.

I'll admit - AJ's isn't the fanciest bar in the world, and the food is not great (or even good). But, I had a lot of fun at that bar. I'm an older guy, and not the most outgoing myself and I always felt at home there.

I went to Mojo's and Shark Club a few times - nice enough places, but were not really my style. They are alright if you are there with friends.

I've been out of Lethbridge for 2 years, though, and am working on old information. My liver is much happier since moving back to Calgary.

unfortunately the movie apparently isn't very good and got a very limited release (it's playing at the Globe right now but I haven't made time to go watch it), and based on the trailer it seems to portray a more severe case of Aspergers.

Personally, I've gotten used to it. I feel lonely sometimes since most of my friends left Calgary, but the advantages of Aspergers are also helpful. My knowledge of film and literature (Aspergers usually results in strong, specific, focused interests) will help me in my education and life and with writing, instead of just not really focusing on anything.

Been to most of the places listed here except Average Joe's and the Shark Club, didn't like any of them. Discovered Andrew Hilton, which is a fantastic specialty liquor store with some incredible, hard-to-find beers, liquors, and spirits, so drinking at home is a good option right now (plus I've got a great HD TV at the apartment I'm renting a room in). Lethbridge is a nice enough town with great, super-friendly people, the campus is good and I like my classes. Happy with my school choice even if I really miss Calgary during the week.

Hey O`Rileys was a good alternative for wings if Blarney was too busy..

Average Joe`s was a great pub. If you want to pick up chicks on the Westside.. A good spot is Dukes or Backstreet.. So close to the University that most of the hotties started there before the bar..

I think Tuesday nights are free game night at Scores.. Free pool and they have UFC and hockey.. another good spot.

If you ever get bored.. Top Hat is an alternative.

PoM (heh, pom... if you lived in England, you'll know what that is)... though it's been addressed by others, I'll put my 2 cents in. My wife is asian, born and raised in Lethbridge, and never had problems. There's dickheads everywhere, but the 'bridge is no worse than anywhere else.
