The crappy thing for you guys that are missing parts of september is that they're trying to pack lots of games into the first month...

The schedule will be coming in the next few days, games in September will be posted. We were able to obtain extra ice times in September to take advantage of some good ice times. We’ll get everyone knee deep into the season right off the bat.

If you miss a game, whoever spares for you pays you the $20. Or at least $15 to you and $5 to the team.

I just think a lot of spares got a free ride at our expense.

If there's any positive to this, it's that we can load up on spares while you guys are all out, as the jersey rules won't come into effect 'til November.

I just think a lot of spares got a free ride at our expense.

It's a possibility. There could be complications, aka: IF 2 or 3 players miss the game, and 1 spare comes out then who gets it? Also, as the GM it's nice to have that money for certain things ie: replacing like 5 pucks a week, because our team seems to be on a mission to lose as many pucks as possible each warm-up.

....and being almost the only one to bring out beer to the games.

I'd be interested in doing something like that but with one dedicated spare. (ie. Straybullet or Howie16). If I can't make the game, I phone them, they give me x amount of dollars and play in my place.

That would probably work best for my schedule, etc.

The only reason I say this is because if I'm paying $700 per season, that works about $20 per game. If I miss a game, someone should be paying me back for taking my spot. But, if this were the NHL, I'd be a perennial 82 gp/year guy.

Except for weddings.

This could work, except we're going to have Josh paying $100 to spare, so I'd like to give him first dibs on coming out if someone cancels. But what we could do is I could just give a player $20 from Josh's $100 if they miss a game.

Well for at least the first game we'll be short at least Jaeyms, jar_e and Dan02, so I'll email you the first game when I know about it, cause we'll definitly need you.

No need to apologize. I think it is wise for you guys to come up with a way to have spares "pay per play".

Do we really pay $20 a game??

edit: Jesus, we pay $23 per game, not including playoffs.
