How many people are picking with their hearts in this thread? A good portion of the posters have picked their favorite team to win their division.

That's the one time that it is an advantage to be a Lions fan. No way I am picking them to win the division.
Even Raiders fans who are in worse shape than us have some that believe their team is going to be good.
Lions fans know there is no way the Lions will win anything this year (or likely the next ten).

^You mean to tell me that the Kansas City Chiefs are only going to win one game this season. And that that one game may not be enough to guarantee them the number one pick overall? What does a team have to do to be bad enough to draft first overall?

Yup.
I think Detroit is going to win the last game of the year, ending the pathetic streak at 32 games. KC could have 2-3 wins (seeing as they get to play the Raiders and Broncos twice), but I don't think Cassel is going to be all that good without the supporting cast he enjoyed in NE.
Edit: Ask Detroit.

I think 99% of the people have the Pats winning the division then the Dolphins fan comes in and chooses his team. I love it!

"Patriots" comes lest in the alphabet, so they are going to finish last in their division.

Well well its that time to see how off we were about our predictions, I always love looking at these four months later for a laugh. Besides my own, I only looked at a couple but I don't see any big laughers like in years past, there wasn't a ton of teams out of nowhere this year like in previous years. The only real surprise of course would be Cincy which none of us saw coming obviously.
Mine were for the most part decent, with the obvious miss(which I see most of us made) of taking Pittsburgh to win the AFC North. My Wild Card picks were pretty close in the AFC, had Baltimore and Houston, and the Jets in 2nd in the AFC East. My big gaffe was taking Seattle in the NFC West, I was way off!

I got a couple of Divisions right. Cincy, Jets, Packers, and New Orleans all ended up a fair bit better than I anticipated. The Giants, Bears, and Seahawks were the teams who were a lot worse than I anticipated. Still getting 8 of 12 playoff teams right, happy to even do that well! For the 14th consecutive year at least 5 of the 12 playoff teams did not make the playoffs in the previous season. New England, New York Jets, Cincinatti, Dallas, New Orleans, and Green Bay all made it in after missing the previous year.
Overall I think my preseason predictions were okay, you're going to have surprises and injuries you didn't see which mess you up. Given how little I followed training camps this year not bad. Than again with NFL predictions it seems like the less you know about details etc...the better off you might be.

The good news?
I picked 3 division winners correctly, the NFC South perfectly, and picked 7 of the 12 playoff teams.
The bad news?
Picking Seattle/Tennessee to win their division, Picking Dallas/Denver/NY Jets last.

Out of all the predictions made in this thread. This one proved to be the worst by a mile! Sorry Rube, but I have to bring it up.

Yeah, I must've been coming off of a bender or something. I honestly thought Campbell was going to turn the corner this year. At least I won the Pick'em pool this year!
