Not a fan of Frank AT ALL.....but if he gave someone a piece of his mind over that he deserves a pat on the back. Whether you don't like the President or love him, as an American I believe you ought to show some freaking respect.
There was a fantastic segment on the Daily Show tonight showing how all these people who are tearing down Obama right now were saying what a travesty it was for people to refuse support to Bush just two or three years ago. But clearly now it's okay to refer to the President as Hitler? Really?

I love it.
I listen to people spewing this crap all the time.
Try to make healthcare a little more accessable and you're a Nazi--but God forbid someone take away their right to own a firearm!
I really have nothing against people owning guns, but I DO have an issue with people who work for a living being unable to attain reasonable medical care. The priorities of people just drive me insane.
From their point of view, the mainstream media is just hyping this clip to paint all Obamacare opposers with the same "crazy" brush.........propaganda if you will...
Mainstream media. Just bleeding heart liberals, that damn mainstream media, eh? Guess what "mainstream" media network in America has the highest ratings?
Fox News. Very much in support of these "crazy" protesters. Very very strongly conservative. They only complain about protesters when they're protesting something that they support. It was fine for Fox News to call people "loons" when those people were protesting the war in Iraq. But now they're going to play victim because someone is doing the same to their viewers?
It goes both ways. Spin goes both ways. Propaganda goes both ways.
If you're going to protest, at least have an idea what the hell you're talking about. Healthcare=/=Nazi regime.

And the right has been convincing that Obama wants to set up death panels and murder your children and grand parents. That doesn't sound crazy at all
Alex Jones? You mean the guy who made the movie that said Obama was going to create mass genocide of Americans?
If you believe this man, you need to get yourself checked into a mental hospital.
Left, Right, Center, everyone can agree that these lunatic fringe conspiracy theorists are just dumb as shat. Either that, or the Queen really is in cahoots with Bush, who is in cahoots with Obama, and they plan to start up death camps and eliminate Americans before planet X comes and enslaves the human race after the invasion of interstellar boeing 747s descends upon an earth in chaos.

Lol. My dad loves O'Reilly. Always tells me to watch it. If I wanted to watch two people yell at each other, I'd tune in to Springer and at least get a trailer park bitch fight out of the deal.

I dont mind that there is a network that has a conservative bias. There is always going to be people who think that way, and they will always want a network that caters to their way of thinking.
Is it terrible journalism? No it is not. By that I mean, it is not journalism. It is entertainment disguised as journalism. I think this kind of media is very destructive and leads to mistrust and disharmony amongst a population. CNN is just as bad, they rarely report real news anymore. Its just fluff with no hard hitting pieces whatsoever. Sometimes FOX and MSNBC will come up with interesting pieces, but in the interim, you have talking heads yelling at each other just because they think they are right and they love the sound of their own voice.
It is this entertainment masquerading as news that makes the masses jaded and unwilling to do anything about the problems that keep mounting.

Oh, I have no issue with a conservative news source--it's all about the sponsors and what they'll pay for, so whatever, it's fine.
I just find it hilarious to honestly watch them and see just how incredibly hypocritical they are, while playing along with this guise of being so much holier than thou.
That second link just makes me so damn angry, listening to this guy complain about a party wanting to "bail out welfare cases."
The health care reform isn't about bailing out "welfare cases"--newsflash, the government already takes care of health care for those on welfare. People on welfare pay next to nothing if they need to go to the emergency room, and prescriptions cost them about $1.
But a self-employed person making a decent wage (anything over $25K/year) is paying out the nose for health care. For my parents to get reasonable health care, it'd cost them $1300 a month. And that's not including copays, medications, and anything that would actually go wrong.
The health care reform is about helping people who actually work and have jobs and can't afford health care because insurance companies are so busy making a profit that they don't care about actually insuring the people who are paying for it.

Also, dont pay Shaw to watch it. There are plenty of places online you can watch FoxNews for free.

From politico.com: "A reader points out that President Obama's call with the rabbis today — as recorded in Rabbi Jack Moline's and otherclerics' Twitter feeds — freights health care reform with a great deal of religious meaning, and veers into the blend of policy and faith that outraged liberals in the last administration.
"We are God's partners in matters of life and death," Obama said, according to Moline (paging Sarah Palin...), quoting from the Rosh Hashanah prayer that says that in the holiday period, it is decided "who shall live and who shall die."
Nazi healthcare plan, that is hilarious. I bet people that oppose Obama couldn't name a single characteristic other than anti-semitism of the nazi regime. They probably think they were communists or socialists. I can't help but sit back and look at the US and laugh.

Where's a teleprompter when you really need one!
That is the thing about Obama, he is sneaky. When was the last time a Nazi had a conference call with Jewish leaders?? The Conservatives in the States must be wary of this man, who knows what tricks he has up his sleeve....

Another thing about Obama.....he'll tell an audience whatever it wants to hear, even if he doesn't believe it himself.

It is a very different story among Republicans. To be sure, there are honorable conservatives, trying to do the right thing. There is a legitimate, if wildly improbable, fear that Obama's plan will start a process that will end with a health-care system entirely controlled by the government. There are conservatives — Senator Lamar Alexander, Representative Mike Pence, among many others — who make their arguments based on facts. But they have been overwhelmed by nihilists and hypocrites more interested in destroying the opposition and gaining power than in the public weal. The philosophically supple party that existed as recently as George H.W. Bush's presidency has been obliterated. The party's putative intellectuals — people like the Weekly Standard's William Kristol — are prosaic tacticians who make precious few substantive arguments but oppose health-care reform mostly because passage would help Barack Obama's political prospects. In 1993, when the Clintons tried health-care reform, the Republican John Chafee offered a creative (in fact, superior) alternative — which Kristol quashed with his famous "Don't Help Clinton" fax to the troops. There is no Republican health-care alternative in 2009. The same people who rail against a government takeover of health care tried to enforce a government takeover of Terri Schiavo's end-of-life decisions. And when Palin floated the "death panel" canard, the number of prominent Republicans who rose up to call her out could be counted on one hand.

Correct me if I am wrong, the Dems control the House, the Senate, and the Presidency. How are they not able to pass this healthcare bill.
Blaming Conservatives when you control all 3 levels of the Federal Goverment - and very close to having a controlling interest in the Supreme Court - that is rich.
Also, here are some classic Barney Frank Quotes. I wonder, will you call C Span a Conservative mouthpiece?
Lots of Rich people we can tax - from the GE sponsored Democratic News Agency

And that's the only reason I posted it. He'll say anything to anyone.
The only problem is, when it's off-script and off-teleprompter, it shows he's an empty suit. So I suspect we'll be seeing alot less of this in the future.

You can push it through without bipartisan support--but if you push it through without bipartisan support, you run the risk of destroying any semblance of harmony between the two parties. It's possible, certainly, but is it worth the risk?
