Nope, got taken over by a Bell store a good 2 years ago, if not 3.
BR's chocolate peanut butter ice cream is amazing.

I went to LICS for the first time yesterday, very good. Waffle cone is very tasty. It was quite busy there even at 9pm.

Although I haven't been yet, I have heard that Village Ice Cream on 10th Avenue (north of arriVa) is very good.

This is the place to go in the local area. You'd probably die if you tried to sample everything on their ice cream menu all at once.

I'll throw in a plug for my friend Billy's ice cream shop as well. Great place to get a cone.

There's a Baskin Robbins in West Edmonton Mall if you ever really get a craving.

Best ice cream treat is a Blizzard. Skor Blizzard with Smarties, to be precise.

There was a Baskin Robbins in Varsity. Terrible ice cream (fluffy and full of air). A gallon of rum/raisin might have one raisin in it if you were lucky.

Hahaha - there was a Baskin Robbin near my neighbourhood down here in Atlanta, and I guess they decided to not renew their franchise, and they changed the name to Basket Rabbit.
No joke.
My guess was that they were being very frugal, and wanted to change the fewest number of letters on their sign.

i thought marble slab was where all the 1%'rs on this board went for a cone......
in my neighborhood (mackenzie towne), there is a palce that sells gelato, another candy shop that seels ice cream, and a dairy queen - these shops satisfy my needs as i hate driving to an ice cream shop. i figure i should ahve to get some excercise to get the ice cream.

It's now a veterinarian office. Which I guess is better than a veterinarian office becoming a Baskin Robbins.

Are you talking about the new Famoso pizza for the gelato, or some other place? I found the galato in Famoso really tasty, especially the burnt sugar chocolate banana flavour or whatever it was called.

If you're into frozen yogurt, there's a self-serve frozen yogurt place in the north end of Airdrie (I think 8st, 1ave?) called Menchie's. Basically, you choose flavours and amount of frozen yogurt, add whatever toppings, then pay by weight (I think 55 cents/oz).
Kensington used to have one called "Spoon Me", but they closed down last time I checked. Menchie's had more flavours and more toppings.

Menchie's is way better than Baskin' Robbins, if you like frozen yoghurt.

Is that the BPs that was converted into a brothel because it was pretty much operating as one anyways?

I hadn't heard that, but wouldn't surprise me given the location (Stony Plain Road).

I totally made that up.
It was an inside joke of sorts referring to the underage prostitutes in Edmonton that were either hanging out at BPs to get clients or getting BPs gift cards, I forget the exact details, except for the fact that the thread was hilarious and yet so very, very wrong.
EDIT: Link to the thread. After a quick look it looks like the BPs thing is based on a quote from one of these hoes. Said she'd go to BPs with the money she made whoring herself.
