Don't forget Rosicky as well, Rosicky is ready to go Saturday as per arsenal's website, it will be interesting to see if he starts or not, before his injury he was a key component for this team in the middle.

The gunners have lots of depth I do love it.

Which Ronaldo plays on United or Liverpool?

Sickening dive. I know it's been said a thousand times and nothing will change but they really need to start looking at these after the match and imposing harsh penalties regardless of the player or team he plays for.

Wow, pull your head out of the sand and realize that every team does it. You had a pretty good player, the last few years by the name of Ronaldo or did you just pick up the premiership last week?

That was a pretty appaling dive!! In the grande scheme of things, I'm glad it wasn't the difference maker. He should be fined or something, that being said, diving happens everywhere on the pitch.

I try to enjoy football, and then I see something like that.

FIFA could eliminate it if they were serious about it. Harsh retroactive suspensions on video review.

Have to saw that although our Sportsnet West matchups looked disappointing at first, they've been pretty good. Debrecen and Apoel going through are the upsets of the tournament thus far, and have displayed some very high quality finishing!

Yep, it's the only way it's going to happen. The Spanish league is a diving festival next to the premiership, but still it seems to even itself out. Rooney's leap over Sol Campbell to end the Invincibles run at Old Trafford and Dirk Kuyt in the Champions League quarter-final come to mind as times when Arsenal got screwed by divers.

I thought Man U and Real Madrid would definitely have drawn each other for the group stage. Maybe it's just me, but whenever a big player or coach goes to another top tier team, they always seem to draw each other in the CL. When Mourinho left Porto for Chelsea, they were drawn each other. When Ronaldo left Sporting to Man U, the first time Sporting qualified for the group stage a couple years later, they dre each other. I was just waiting to see Madrid and Man U in the same group when I saw they were in different pots heading into the draw.

Your theory is right though. Eto'o and Zlatan drew each other.

Good thing he's the commentator cause this is one of the worst matches you'll ever see.

That makes it even better!! A bored John Helm is entertainment for everyone!

Eduardo fined by UEFA for diving against Celtic. Further review to take place September 1, 2009 (could face two match ban).

Having studied video evidence of the incident in question, the Uefa disciplinary inspector decided to charge the player concerned. The Uefa Control and Disciplinary Body will examine the case on 1st September
Great news assuming it remains consistent. I think everyone supports this other than Arsenal FC and a few of their supporters. Hopefully it sets a precedent that will be followed regardless of team or player (wishful thinking, I know).

Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex both called for video replay on important decisions after the Celtic match. Tough debate but I think eventually they will have no choice.
