Ah hah, 4x4 hits on one of my pet peeves. I don't complain mind you because this is Alberta for fooks sake but Holy Jeebus, why do my neighbors who mostly work in an office environment need to drive pickup trucks? Why?

Freaking diesel exhaust spewing, truck balls sportin', two parking space takers who spit gravel at me while they are listening to their blue collar comedy hour in their king cabs while blinding me with their fookin' metallic mud flaps.

Christ Almighty!

thank you

I lived there too, and nary saw a pickup truck. Except for the one cliche American who imported his stupid Ford 350 and plastered American flags all over it. Good lord.

I don't mean to generalize, but every pickup truck driver parks about as well as my 93 year old grandma.

Slash their tires. They're making the legit pickup drivers look bad.

Hilarious. Doesn't get much more American than a pickup truck. Either that or a hot dog eating contest.

Let me guess, you think you are one of the legit ones right? Thats the problem, nobody realizes they are actually the d-bags we non pickup drivers get pissed at. Not you specifically 4x4 (but maybe, I don't really know).

*edited to point out our appreciation to you for bringing out the firewood to the campsite this weekend.* =)

I wish I would've kept my truck. Not that I don't like my car, but I'm excited for the day where I will be able to buy a late 80's to early 90's Chev regular cab shortbox and deck it out. But no raising of the truck, or putting wider tires and such...just a nice paintjob, maybe a little muffler action, and of course a thumpin' stereo!

Just don't be that loser BMW driver that goes 10 under the limit because you've got your GD cellphone stuck to your ear like a tumor and we can remain friends.

And I'm pretty sure it's easy to differentiate between posers and non-posers. Scratches in the box will tell you whether the truck actually gets used.

I'm really trying to think of a different way to word that last sentence because I know fotze will be all over it like scratches on a box.

If I can't touch the bottom, that's my fault. If I can't touch the sides, it's yours.

How about over-the-top flag waving? Does that count too? lol.......Actually when I was there, most Americans didn't admit where they were from unless you pressed them to admit it. They were cool though (except for the pickup-driving, horn-tooting redneck, he sucked!)

This makes about as much sense as saying that forks don't exist in China, therefore the world wouldn't fall apart without forks. Just because the New Zealanders haven't discovered that there's a better way to haul stuff, doesn't mean we're wrong for having invented it and for using it to it's full potential.

And if what you say is true, it's beyond ridiculous and into the realm of stupid. Are you telling me that an entire nation cannot comprehend the usefulness of a pickup truck? They all chuck their tools into the back of a panda van? Really? Huh. That's sorta like using the Yellow Pages instead of Google.

I don't have a problem with pick-up trucks for people that actually use them, but I see a lot of shiny 20 foot long, 10 thousand pound crew cabs parked at the train station every morning. That is just a tad excessive.

Nobody needs that kind of vehicle to drive a quarter of the way to work. If they did need it, they wouldn't be on the train.

My grandpappy was an actual farmer and crop inspector. He drove a dinky Mazda pickup truck all over central Alberta for 20 years until they made him stop driving and it did well enough for him. He was a real conservative though -- he wanted to conserve money and not waste resources, and not a conservative in the prevalent "I want to drive a giant truck and you can't stop me" way we see today.

Well, when you put it that way, how could I disagree?

Seriously, say something of value if you're going to post. I retorted to your post and this is the best you've got? Did I say that everyone should drive a pickup? No. So WTF are you saying to me?

Jesus man, relax. Don't get all upset over a poster teasing you on an internet message board.
