Ha, yeah, that's unfortunately the situation down here as well. Doing everything by the book adds countless bills and stress to the whole process....next time im following the "easier to ask for forgiveness than permission" mantra.

I've actually been considering going the other way just to live somewhere warmer.

California sure looks welcoming....but it sure is expensive.
