Thrashers now have 3.1 M left in cap space so I guess we are in the "getting slowly roasted" category. The majority of our team is in place. We have 17 of our 20 man roster signed. We just need a 3rd pairing dman, and a couple 4th line forwards and have 3.1 M to spend (so over a M to spend on each). Atlanta will be fine.

Yep the Ducks now have 4 million in cap secured to come our way next season. We only have 1 roster fwd left and have 2.84 mill for that or 5 mill for 2 (if we leave okposo in the minors).

Honestly, I love trading this years cap for more cap next year, has to be 1 of my favorite trades.

I know what you mean, despite being in a bit of a crunch right now, most of my guys are on contracts that go beyond this year, so having that 2 million extra for next year helps me quite a bit.

Re-updated with teams needs based on having 12 F 6 D 2 G

Some teams have players buried on the farm that will be taking some of those spots, but more or less this is accurate.

Still some teams that need head coach's as well. I'm one of them so that's a bit more of the cap money down the tubes.

Ducks gained some cap in the Erhoff deal then used it to send 1.65 to Philly for 2.5 next season. We now have 6.5 secured for next summer, still have almost 4 mill to lock up 1 remaining forward on the roster (or just use okposo at 2 and register for sponsorships).

Well I have a team I can ice, one extra depth forward on the CPHL roster and 2.55 million left. So if anyone wants cap now some cap next year, talk to Syl.

Thanks for doing this. It's tough to keep track of in the summer as most teams hide guys in the minors to clear cap and the like. Once the dog is back on, that's when you get a real idea of just how teams are doing.
