Hawaii - Help me out

Figured I would say I am leaving tomorrow. I am just going to spend about 2 weeks on the island of Maui. Its all I can afford. So I am strictly backpacking and camping. Illegally where I need to. I will spend a few nights in a few different hostels, which those days will be to relax and chill on the beach, party at night. I am also going to hike up Mt. haleakala, 0-10,000feet, where I am going to camp a few nights, and hike around the forest and crater. Then everyone says to drive the road to Hana, Im going to spend a few days hiking it. Im stoked, Ill post some pics in the picture thread when I get back!

There's no sidewalk and 250 foot drops to the jagged rocks below. Did I mention that it's sometimes only one lane wide in some places?

I wasn't planning on a sidewalk through a rain forest along a 80km stretch of island... If there was a sidewalk I would prefer to go do something more challenging. 250foot drops are just a walk in the park.
