I like how I can get a box of 20 timbits for $3.00 at the Chinook theatre instead of being gouged like at the concessions or BK. Great movie snack, don't have to sneak anything in.

As soon as I read this, the smuggler inside me alerted me to the fact that the bottom of a timbits box is a great place to stash a mickey.

I, for a while, tried a large with 5 cream... just to be different. Now I just get a large double cream. I have cut back a lot though.

I also love their turkey clubs, but I order extra honey mustard sauce.

I lament the fact that their fountain iced tea was done away with... and most of their specialty items. BRING BACK THE STRAWBERRY TARTS YOU BAST@#%S!!!

Convenience, there's almost one at every corner (outside of residential) and you don't have to drive more then 3 minutes to find one.

Yup, there are about six Tim Horton's between where I live, and where I work.

For me, I think it is the fact that they lace their Ice Capps with crack cocaine. And always get it with chocolate milk. Not only does it taste so much better, but a large one goes from 470 calories to 310, 20g of fat to ONE, and 80mg of cholesteral to 5. Still enough sugar to kill a 5 year old though.

One large ice capp is healthier for you than one donut. Crazy.

Well for 9 months of the year, I usually don't have to wait in line. Even in the summer if I'm going by at 7:15 the tourists haven't made it there yet. If it's 7:25....it's a different story. But yeah, if the lineup is too long I'll just drive by. But I live in a small town and unless I want to go to A&W, 7-11 or McDonalds to get coffee, I'm not getting one at that time of day.

Tim's coffee is terrible. No wonder they load it with fat and sugar. It tastes burnt because they boil the piss out of it and then pour it in their one-ply paper cups, so you can burn your fingers off trying to drink it while its still hot. (unless you remember to ask for two cups - that's just stupid wasteful.)

I've always had an issue (mindless, illogical, faux-principled) with Tim's since they sold out to Wendy's (U.S.) and then immediately we got bombarded with the marketing crap about how Tim's is a Canadian cultural institution. So our pathetic patriotic heartstrings were attached to a frickin' donut chain that wasn't even Canadian anymore. At least they were IPO'd out of Wendy's albeit still an American corporation. Now that Obama's fried the American economic engine, they'll slink back to Canada to re-incorporate and pretend the Wendy's experiment never happened. And ingratiate themselves as the Canadian icon they never were. (we should be proud though - they're slinging they're pisswater in NYC.)

Fortunately, I don't spend much time thinking about this stuff.

I love Tims coffee an basically have an addiction.

The reasons I quoted you though are jsut to tell you that the main point of them reincorporating in Canada is to save money on taxes. In the meantime Tim is expanding in the United States (and fairly aggressively actually!).

Second Cup FTW!

Tim Hortons coffee? Well when you need to add a ton of creamer and a ton of sugar to make it taste bearable, there's your answer. You can probably make urine taste good with cream and sugar.

That was my inference, but it was a stealth inference disguised as a shot at Obama so as not to derail the thread. And foods high in fat and sugar are generally addictive. Who would have thought coffee could ever fall in that category? Of course, in reference to Tim's, I use the term "coffee" ever so loosely.

I have a friend in Microbiology who says that when Tim's coffee gets metabolized, it actually creates a small amount of nicotine. I don't know how true this is but that could explain the sudden feening for Tim's I randomly get.

I have a Tim's in my office building, and if I don't get my morning double double I'll be in a horrible mood all morning. However, for some reason Tim's coffee always tastes better in the morning, the rest of the day it tastes like dog balls and I will not drink it.

You can't really look at it that way - KD is a Canadian institution as well, more or less (and certainly according to Kraft's sales figures), and you can't exactly call that tasty pasta either, in the grand scheme of pasta dishes.

It's a Canadian taste, not a good taste or a bad one, just one that is unique. I drink it black and can't say I mind it more or less than other coffees

It seems like I always have to get my XL four cream everyday, otherwise the day doesn't seem complete. Being diabetic, I can't obviously have sugar in my coffee, but I used to get an XL four cream and four sweetener, up until December.

I went though the Tim Horton's in Moose Jaw, and instead of putting four sweetener in my coffee, they put four sugar. I thought it tasted a little bit sweeter than normal, but I thought nothing of it. About an hour later I tested my blood sugar because I felt kinda funny, and my blood sugars were a tad bit on the high side. That's when it dawned on me that they had put four sugar in my coffee instead. Of course, it's my fault since I should have realized that when I was drinking the coffee, lol.

That's the only issue I've ever had with Tim Horton's. The one I go to on 52nd street always gets my order right.
