I saw him when he came here a year or two ago. I got free tickets so I went with a friend. I knew three songs, but I had a blast at the concert regardless.

Outside of Bonnie Tyler, this was one of the greatest female rock n roll vocal performances ever...

Too bad it never amounted to anything for her. She's not the chick in the video, btw.

Are we sure Meatloaf is a CP favourite? Kevin Lowe's been caught singing his tune for years now...the latest version:

Danny we can talk all night
But that aint getting us nowhere
We told and tricked you into everything we possibly can
Theres nothing left inside of here
And maybe Tom/Pat/Steve/Laforge and I will cry all night
But thatll never change the way I run this organization
The snow is really once again piling up outside in July here
I wish you wouldnt make me beg here

I poured it on and I poured it out
I tried to show you just how desperate I am
Im tired of empty promises and Im too hoarse to shout
But you've been so good a player so long
Im trying desprately to give our fans false hope

And all I can do is keep on telling you
I want you
I need you
But -- there aint no way you're ever gonna sign here
Now I wont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad
Now I won't be sad
cause two out of three aint bad

Youll never find your career on 170 Street
Youll never wear the crest of the oil on WEM's Bourboun street
I know youre looking for a chance to win
But there aint no hope of that here, perpetually hiding at the bottom of the Western Conference bin

I cant lie (but I will try)
I cant tell you that the team's chances and living in this city are something its not
No matter how I try
Ill never be able
To give you something
Something such as living in Calgary or a hope in hell at a playoff spot, that I just havent got

Theres only one group of boys on the bus that I will ever love
And that was so many years ago
And though I know Ill never get them out of my heart
I'm still stuck in the ways of thinking the Oilers are still like that
Ooh I know
I remember how Comrie left me on a stormy night
He pissed me off and didn't want to return his own money
And though I then pleaded and I begged him not to walk out that door
He packed her bags and turned right away to Philly

And he kept on telling me
He kept on telling me
He kept on telling me
I was born here
My dad lives here
But there aint no way Im ever gonna stay here
Now dont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad
So Danny I want you
I need you
But there aint no way you're ever going to choose here
I wont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad
I won't be sad
cause two out of three aint bad

Danny we can talk all night in Kelowna
But that aint getting us nowhere

I saw that "Classic Albums" show on one of the Much Music channels, and it is pretty interesting the stories behind Bat Out Of Hell.

I'm then introduced to the man himself – "Call me Meat," he says in a friendly tone.

Yup, when it comes down to it, sweaty and fat usually go hand in hand.

I'm guessing Wellwood sweats alot.

Remember, it's not Meatloaf, it's Meat Loaf - two words.

Also, I've always thought the line, "You've been cold to me so long I'm crying icicles instead of tears" is one of the greatest and corniest lyrics in the history of music.

Other great Meat Loaf tunes:

Bat out of Hell
Amnesty is Granted
Life is a Lemon (and I Want My Money Back)
I'd Lie for You (and That's the Truth)
Blind as a Bat
Alive
The Monster is Loose

I listen to some Meat when I'm driving and want to escape. Bat out of Hell is good to listen to when you have an open highway.

And actually Ellen Foley (who went on and did Night Court) sang on the album but the woman in the video and who went on tour was Karla Devito.

I was trying to post the trippy, freaky "Monster is Loose" video.

Man, I couldn't find my Bat out of Hell album for the longest time. Then yesterday I was going through my old CD collection and found another Bat out of Hell album, with the wrapping still on it.

It turns out I love Meat Loaf so much that I own to Bat out of Hells!!

I think thats another girl lip-synching to Folley's voice. I've met Ellen and it sure doesn't look like her to me.

Edit] just noticed bobbleheads post
