I was at two different 7-11s today and they sure didn't go out of their way to let their customers know about these free Slurpees. Both of them had cups hiding behind the register with no mention of the free Slurpees anywhere. What's the point of a promotion like this if it isn't promoted?

Hey, it costs a lot of money to give away flavoured ice.

Dear LORD!!!!!!! Those cups are so small that they are a complete waste of time. They are one size up from coffee creamers. That is so brutal. What a let down.

I think we should start a letter writing campaign to encourage 7-11 to "think of the environment" and let us bring our own, reasonably sized containers next year.

...like a 20L cooler?

My experience has been that if you bring in the refill collector cups they give you a free slurpee about one time in ten because it's easier for the clerk.

Well the point of the cup is that they're 7.11 oz cups to go with the whole 7-11 theme

I just stopped by, got my dixie cup of slurpee goodness, and left. There was a pack of teenagers sitting by the machine, literally taking shots of slurpees, one after the other. Are you really that hard up for cash? Here, buy the slurpee 250oz Keg, it's $1.79, I'll even pay for it.

ya cheap s, you probably spend more on gas driving to the 7-11 then the money saved if you just stopped by some random 7-11 or Macs to pick up a slurpee

what do slurpee's cost, like a buck? (I haven't had a slurpee in half a decade, so I have no idea)

sure, but by letting me fill up my own container, there is at least 7.11oz that are not in a landfill - right?

Funny you say that, I told my buddy today that you'd have to limit the size because guys like me might show up with a brand new garbage can from Home Depot or something like that. Therefore, a "reasonably sized" container, like a big gulp refillable...
