That makes as much sense Jim Kirk and Luke Skywalker sitting down together for a glass of blue milk or saurian brandy.

If Floola could update the Zune, I'd be even happier!

I'm late to the party, but I would recommend a Sansa clip. I got one a couple of months ago for the commute and couldn't be happier. I'm an anything but ipod guy and just wanted something to play music. It's weightless, the clip holds it onto your clothes with ease, and the 4gb model is around 50 bucks. It also just shows up as a storage device when you connect the cable so no silly itunez or drm crappola. Just drag and drop your files as it should be.

The Bay apparently has some great deals on MP3 players.

I have a Zune 80GB media player for sale and a Sony 4GB (NWZ-S636F) for sale if anyone is interested. Both brand new and will take offers.

Interesting. I was just looking at the Zune website, and they actually look pretty interesting. Then I noticed they not only don't work with iTunes, but they don't even have a Mac version of the Zune software.

Wow. It takes a special kind of "global" company to turn its back on millions of potential customers. I wonder where the iPod would be if iTunes didn't run on Windows.

Like someone else here mentioned a few days ago, if Microsoft was a new company trying to break into software world today, they would be completely left behind in the dust. They have this humungous user-base, yet every single decision they make just drives them further and further into irrelevancy.

There might be millions of Mac users, but the brand loyalty among Mac owners is pretty high. I can't imagine many of them would actually be potential customers. Their opposition to the Microsoft brand is pretty high. If they had invested in a Mac port of the Zune software, I'd bet it would have been a big money loser.
