In my experience, the guy that "likes brawling" is closely related to the guy who "likes beating up women".
Regardless of whether or not this is a good quality in a soldier, he was really, really dumb to say it to a reporter. Enough people in the world think America as a whole is being guided by a misguided macho "Kick Ass Doctrine". According to this General, they were right.
