Anyway. This kid was unreal! However, the show really starts to lose it's relevance when the disco dancing 74 year old got through to Vegas.
they'll weed him off in the Vegas auditions, there's always a few charity cases that they put through for a feel good story. the show is relevant because they took Terry Fator, one of the most talented performers i've ever seen, and made him one of the richest people in Vegas. i can't watch Americal Idol because it's boring, the same styles of singers over and over again. i like being surprised by the truly talented acts when they come on because i have no idea what to expect

[quote=Hemi-Cuda;1929785]well my guilty pleasure show of the summer is back, though i really only pay attention to the auditions and first sets of live vote shows before the variety acts get weeded off. i have to say though that these 3 kids singing is one of my favorite acts that i've seen on this show

So far, I have watched every episode this year and this is the best act so far. I really hope these kids have more in the trunk to continue.

well overall this has been a pretty boring season (aside from maybe Acrodunk) but it completely lost me tonight when it became so painfully obvious that it's scripted. Piers has been brutally honest with every act so far, criticizing everything he can about each act, but suddenly some hillbilly from Kentucky who sounds like a bad karaoke singer is his favorite to win the competition? it was a little suspicious last year when an opera singer won after the Paul Potts drama of the English version, but now it's clear they're trying to do the same and force another Susan Boyle type comparison for the American show

i had to fast foward through that Skinard guy's performance tonight it was so awful, yet the "bad cop" judge gives him a standing ovation. if the show wanted to force through it's own predetermined set of contestants, they could at least be a little less obvious about it

The Hoff sure showed those amateurs what it takes to be a pro with his performance in tonight's show. Epic, epic, epic performance by one of Germany's favourite sons.
