How do I get it to come out of hiding? I have another HDPVR using the Shaw remote.

I THINK it might be the skip button. I remember using it on my girlfriend's shaw PVR.

I found this guide too: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/How_to_...30-Second_Skip

Yeah it's the skip button (just below Mute), and the button to jump back is a curved arrow button just underneath the skip button. It's totally counter-intuitive visually, but the feature is there and I use it all the time too. The only thing is that the jump forward is longre than the jump back, so if you jump too far forward, sometimes one jump back will get you closer to the end of the commercial break, but sometimes it will still be in the show.

That's standard behaviour. 30 second skip forward, 15 back.

Also the PGUP and PGDN buttons skip ahead/back 5 minutes.

When another Dell Days of Deals comes on and these are in there... someone bump this thread.

Sounds to me like you just need to develop better commercial skipping skillz.

I have the max speed FFW down to a science.
