Aw, sorry enthused. I'd offer you my umbrella, but I don't have one either.

And I don't know what you guys are talking about re: gloominess. There've been a few days like that, but I think this has been one of the nicer Junes in recent years.

Haven't even hit 30+ degrees yet this year... and that's sad.

It's not showing much of anything on the radar but looking straight south and it's very dark. Could be another good shower coming right up, folks in the south may already be getting it.

I used these guys for a look-see during times like this, and to do the re-reoofing job that was required.

Almost died on the QE2 on the drive home around 3:30 today. Puddles galore... and the truck beside me, and half a car length ahead of me smashed through one, shooting all the water on to my windshield. So I can't see where I'm going, but I can see a truck not driving cautiously enough almost plow into the back of me.
Damn near shat myself.

Got caught in the downpour in the NE after dropping my brother off at the airport. Ended up pulling over on the shoulder of Deerfoot due to hyroplaning.
Found out my sunroof/moonroff doesn't leak - thank god!

I had to meet with a guy down town for a couple hours and found a parking spot a few blocks down. At that time it only drizzled so I brought my umbrella with me but didn't use it. After coming out it felt like we were in a hurricane so I prop out my umbrella and I find that the damn thing is rusted. What kind of umbrella rusts? Stupid cheap umbella. I finally got to my car and was so wet I had to go home to change.

Glad you're ok! Same thing almost happened to me today as well. I was driving back to Calgary from Radium and first of all we woke up to massive downpour...so, we laid in bed hoping maybe it would die down enough to pack up the tent and not feel like we were packing a tent in a shower.
Alas, it didn't die down, so, we bit the bullet and got soaked while packing up the tent, then the drive home was long and slow b/c of no visibility. There was probably 3 different instances where vehicles either on my side of the road or going the opposite way slammed through puddles that landed all over my windshield.
16th ave was really brutal pulling into the city as well. Oh well...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? I dunno...that's what i hear anyway...

Meh, the people that come from out of town aren't coming for just one day. Other than today, it's been pretty damn fine out for Stampede. The evening drenchpour is a Stampede tradition anyway.

That would suck if it rained on your daughters birthday. I can remember as a wee lad being bitterly disappointed when it rained on kids day and we couldn't go.

It's been rainy and miserable for at least the last 2 weeks here in Halifax. The sun popped out from behind some thick clouds this morning and it hurt my eyes. Perhaps we should be building a giant rain pipeline to send it out to the prairies since every year it's the same old story about drought.
