Welcome to the 21st Century!

I think memory usage has gone down somewhat, it doesn't bloat up to 900MB anymore.

The last company I worked at (~ 1 year ago) had most of it's employees using Mozilla (as in, the entire suite, not Firefox). We're talking developers and IT staff using frickin MOZILLA.

At least they forced people to upgrade to IE7.

Photon, wasn't that memory leak bug fixed in 3.0?

Yeah it was supposed to be, but for some reason on my computer Firefox would balloon up to almost 1GB over a few days.. I'm at 445MB now. (I open a LOT of windows and tabs lol).

Random Q: How does a company like Firefox make money to offer a program like this?

Google pays them a boatload of coin when you use the integrated Google search box.

Edit: here is a copy of their Income report for 2005/2006
http://www.mozilla.org/foundation/do...-statement.pdf

In those years, they earned $66 Million and $61.5 Million of that came from "search royalties" (aka Google).
