This game is pretty good. If you liked the climbing/scaling of buildings aspect from Assassin's Creed, or the old Sly Cooper games (same maker), then pick up the game, I love just running around climbing on stuff.

I finished the game as a hero and now I'm playing through a second time as a villain. It's like having a 2nd game. I'm having just as much fun the second time around.
I'd recommend playing as a hero the first time through, because I think it would be tough to play with a conscience after being evil. I like how the cut scenes change depending on how you play the game as well. Hope everyone grabbed a copy of this at $30. It's well worth the $70 I paid for it.

I picked it up for $30 based on the recommendations in this thread, and I am very happy that I did. What a great game!

Finished the "Goody little 2 shoes" path.
Now on to evil.
Really if it weren't for the trophies, it might find it's way traded pretty soon.

Thanks to the OP!!! This was an awesome deal for a great game. I probably wouldn't have picked it up without the sale but now after playing I would have gladly paid $70 for it.

the one thing i hate about this game is the lazy route the developers took with the good/evil routine. there is no significant change in the way the story unfolds, the same characters live or die, and the ending is the exact same. i like games like Mass Effect that have significant differences in how the story unfolds depending on your choices, i don't like feeling i'm playing a game on rails with only superficial differences

I played this game at the Stampeede today, and it was pretty dope. I love how you can climb on anything and then just jump from building to building. Sliding around on the railway was fun as well, I also had no clue what the game was about or what I was supposed to do, and too bad it's not for XBOX.

Yeah, Mass Effect 2 is going to be even sweeter, Shephard can actually die for good in ME2 on one of the missions.

so are you actually going to play as YOUR Shephard from the first one, like they promised from the beginning? the trailers made it look like he/she was dead and you'd be playing as a new character, which seemed like a total cop-out

No you play as YOUR Shepherd. But the stupid thing is (sort of), is that your stats will be reset. So my level 60 Shepherd won't have any stats again (go back to level 1?). They haven't confirmed it, although they sort of semi-confirmed it saying "we don't want people to just breeze through the game". But your save can be converted over, all your decisions you made, etc.
As long as I get my weapons and decisions I am happy, I will gladly beat ME2 4 times to get to the Level Cap again.

This game isn't as good I as thought it would be, or as much as some people make it out to me.
Any one else board of turning on the power in different parts of the city? Or doing a side quest that is exactly the same as a previous side quest?
There is a lot of aspects I do like about the game (story, new discovered powers, upgrading powers), but I just want to quickly make my way through it to finish the story.

Yeah, I played it a bit when I first got it but havent touched it since. I payed $30 for it so it's not that bad of an investment but it's nothing special.
