Our family watches this show every week. I'm not sure what I enjoy more the show itself or watching my son watching the show. He just kills himself laughing when he watches it. In fact during the season openner this year we had to pause the show so that he could take his buffer. He was laughing so much he started having trouble breathing.

And of course it is alway fantastic to see Ms. Wagner If no one took her in the Hottie draft it is truely a crime. I am starting to get a little pissed at all the losers that are trying to make moves on my girl this season though.

The third part of the course, and the show's hallmark obstacle, are the "Big Balls", four gigantic inflated rubber balls placed in a line on steel supports over a pool of water, which the contestants must cross. In aired episodes so far, only ten contestants – Ariel Tweto, Jeremey Olson, Ben Kronberg, John Ames, Yolanda Ezeil, Nick Ballard, Katie Mayfeild and Jessie Graff, and Grace Matis and Devon Berry (not shown) passed the obstacle. In season two, a large hammer (known as "The Motivator") was added on the platform that led to the Big Balls, which knocks off any contestant that hesitates to start.

i don't mind the hosts on Wipeout, they've dropped that stupid wrecking ball on a treadmill event from last season (and the idiotic "talking" ball) which makes the show so much better

i was a huge fan of MXC also, but the gimmick has worn off now. Wipeout has much better obstacles that come with a bigger budget, and i like that it has a point (ie winner) unlike MXC where it's just the announcers making stuff up and reusing the same old jokes

funniest episode i've seen so far was last years superbowl special of cheerleaders vs couch potatoes. Since then, the hosts have been great.

(the hosts, btw, both work for ESPN)
