But then there's the future versions of Stewie where he was married and complaining about phone bills, or the movie version where he was a 40 year old virgin trying to get with that woman. As well as his being enamored with Olivia and that other baby that wanted his cookies. I think they just want him to be a freak.

Indiana Jones jumped the shark when he got blown sky-high from a nuclear blast inside a lead-lined refrigerator and came out unscathed.

Ironically, Zapp Brannigan is essentially the combination of Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure, Billy West sounds close enough.
Phil Hartman died in 06. The Simpsons has sucked for alot longer than 3 years. More like 10. IMHO.

I think Stewie being gay is a newer development, hence Jumping the Shark. All these other plots were written before they decided this.

Am I in some kind of time warp? Wow. I stand corrected.

The Simpsons jumped the shark the day psycho hose beast killed one of the funniest people in our generation.

They've always flirted with Stewie = Gay though. Like when Brian caught him with makeup, and when he sang that gay HMS Pinafore type song. I think they just took his sexual ambiguity to an extreme where its not a gag anymore.

Sometimes I wonder if all women are this difficult. And then I think to myself... "My god, wouldn't it be marvelous if I turned out to be a homosexual?".......

Wow, that's the exact moment I credit with when the Simpsons started to suck.

That's freaky weird.

In my mind it's when they sued Napster. It's hard to project being a bad ass when you're acting like corporate shills.

Men jumped the shark when they started watching UFC instead of boxing.

I think there are a number of Simpsons episodes you could point to as the beginning of sucking, and all of them were Lisa episodes.
