I wouldn't worry about this - the motherboard capacitors are all going to be low voltage. If you were really paranoid you could just short them out with a screwdriver once everything is unplugged from the wall.
CRT and TV screeens are another story altogether - don't touch anything in those unless you are a qualified or educated technical person. These devices can hold potentially lethal charges in their active components such as capacitors for days, if not weeks.
