apparently, he is "hard to find". they were trying to get him to do the video game and toys.

Rick Moranis put out a critically acclaimed country album a couple of years ago IIRC.

Yeah, I geeked out in a major way watching this. It's as close as we're going to get to seeing him in that suit again though.

These guys are too old for the roles. Get ready for a bunch of "I'm too old for this" kind of jokes in the movie.
Remember them walking up the stairs to fight Gozer (Yup even in this forum it's a dick)? The out of shape I'm too old for this joke was already in the first one.

The remake was when movies SUCKED for the most part. I think with a good script and some age jokes (like in space cowboys) it could work well. My million dollar thoughts anyway.

If this is really a passing of the torch type movie, it should be from the old comedians passing it to the new guys. People like Seth Rogan, vince vaughn, jonah hill, or jay baruchel would be awesome. If they want to throw in a girl, how about anna ferris or emma stone?

Vince Vaughn would be a great replacement for Murray since he's got a very similar comedic style to Bill. They both have similar egotistical, "game show host", type of mannerism too.

Seth Rogan or Jonah hill can be aykroyd's replacement. They can pull of that innocence, that "what did I do" personality.

Jay Baruchel would be an awesome ramis replacement. I can totally see him being an egghead.

I think either anna ferris or emma stone can replace the black guy. That's all I got.

That's a good idea. I'd rather see it kept all males though.. funnier that way.

Ugh Jay Baruchel? His voice alone destroys movies.

I almost shut off how to train your dragon because of his terrible voice.

"the Black Guy...."

Racist.

And while I'm not a racist, and, I understand all Bruce lee's look the same, I am offended that you would call someone "black guy" when he clearly has under tones of milk chocolate brown. Some people are just too insensitive.

I hope they keep it properly funny and not focus too much on special effects. The ghosts were the best part of Ghostbusters when I was a kid, the dialogue is the best part of Ghostbusters now that I'm an adult. Someone with the same kind of comedic timing and deadpan as Bill Murray is necessary, otherwise it will be pointless CGI Tranformers of the Caribbean mush.

Oh god no, maybe its because I've had Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill overload but god not. And no to Jay Baruchel.

If we're doing passing of the torch to make a Ghost Busters the next generation, I hope someone looks at the lame attempt to pass the torch to Shia la lousy in the Indiana Jones franchise and stops raping movies.

I loved the first ghostbusters, mainly because the cast really played off of each other, the special effects weren't special, but the writing was solid and Bill Murray and Harold Ramis really carried the comedy. The second one wasn't great because the script was terrible.

If we're going to do a third one, lets wrap it up for good. Lets not pass it onto young hip actors because their young hip actors.

Non of those guys could carry Bill Murray's comedy jock strap. Non of those guys could replace Harold Ramis dry sense of humor.

Stop the rebooting, write your own stories and be creative (Except for you Chris Nolan, you can stay). Stop trying to recast roles. Quit raping the classic movies so that you can squeeze an extra few minutes.

Because the next thing you know, McG will get his hands on the ghost busters franchise and Slimer will be running around with a proton accelerator on his back.
