WHOOOOO!!!!
12-10 Final score. Close game from start to finish, two empty netters sealed the deal, and New York scored a late one to make the 2 goal final margin of victory.

Great game, with an embarassing turnout.

Seemed like a good game - close through most of it. That was a showcase of the NLL.
Too bad not a single network decided to play it. Instead we get MMA repeat BS and repeats of boxing matches that happened ages ago. And Shaw (cable 10) thought "weekend magazine" (that maybe 5 people actually watch) was more important.
Idiots, all of them.

That's pretty good considering its the long weekend and its a NLL game.

Thanks. based on the above quote I thought the turnout was pathetic. Let's be honest, if this game was next weekend I bet it's darn close to a sellout.

Impressive year for Calgary - Golden Baseball League runners up, Grey Cup champs, NLL champs, WHL runners up.

13000 for the championship game is brutal imo. A couple years ago the roughnecks were getting over 13000 per regular season game....and in '04 we sold out the championship game at 19, 289, so maybe my expectations were just too high.

I was at the game thanks to FLAMESRULE. A ton of fun, the seats along the sides of the rink were basically full, the seats at the net ends of the rink were basically empty, but it was decently loud in there.
I'm hoping this league championship gets the Roughnecks some more support next year, seriously a ton of fun, I'd almost forgotten how good it is (and I'm a Mammoths fan).

i dont understand why they dont get bigger crowds, i am a hockey fan like most everyone else, but a flames game is nowhere near as exciting, these guys leave it all out on the floor... 30 bucks for a roughnecks game, 100 or more for a flames game.. no comparison

It wasn't $30 for the game last night - more like $80/ticket...

haha you couldnt even get tickets for $30 last night. still cheaper than a flames game though (paid 45 in section 217), and actually possible to get for a playoff game.
