Residential roads up here are flushed with a truck to put all the debris to the sides, and then a sweeper will come by and pick it up. It is done really well up here. So unless things are vastly different in Calgary (and I sort of doubt it, based on the way snow in handled in general by the City of Calgary as compared to the City of Edmonton), you might be SOL. Call 311 and see what they say.
