I don't think I listened to the single the first time I listened to the album. I think based on what I'm hearing here, I'll skip it the second time, too.

Ya, what's with that? It's like he is trying to sound Jamacian, but it sounds more like a cross between Adam Sandlar Waterboy and Jar Jar Binks.
I thought maybe it was Snow instead of Eminem... lol, ok.. maybe not that bad, but still....

I hope the best for this album (and part 2), but the last albums I couldn't even stomach, so I also think I've outgrown his music... he's a man with a lot of talent and lucky enough to have one of the best producers in the history of hip-hop, but he seems to dumb it down too much, and most radio singles are just downright annoying... so I don't expect much, but I would would love another marshall mathers LP, not another encore

I think this album is his 2nd best. Better then marhsall mathers LP. Medicine ball is probably the best track on the album for me right now. The christopher reeves breakdown gave me a laugh attack.

He's got a pouty little face. How can you take him serious? He's a pop performer like Timberlake.

Ill Bill > Eminem(Max Calavera on a rap album is gold)
There are quite a few Eminem songs that I really like, but I don't think I'll be picking up the album. Thankfully Amazon will let me poach what I like off of it

No doubt about that; Ill Bill is an incredible rapper. Did you catch his show last year?
I do enjoy Eminem's first three releases the best, but I don't enjoy his accent. I'll give it another listen, but after listening to nothing but El-P's "I'll Sleep When You're Dead" for the past couple weeks, it's hard to get into this.

One of the worst albums I have heard from him, up there with Encore as far as trash goes. The song Insane is pretty disturbing, and the opening bars are disgusting. His first two albums where fun, good shock value, because no one was doing what he was doing, but it gets old after a while, and he stepped up with a solid release and more mature album in Eminem Show. After that album its been downhill, his voice, flow, lyrics, subject matter all went down the drain, he hit his peak with The Eminem Show which was his best album, and hes just ruining his career now with albums like Encore and Relapse.
He has nothing to say anymore and should retire, his best work is not ahead of him, just stick to getting fat and doing nothing.

I've been bummed since the Slim Shady LP. Even those songs were edited on that album. The original versions of My Name Is and Guilty Conscience were funnier. It was just a line here or there, but it just kinda ruined it for me. After the 3rd album I just turned him off. This new Triumph the Insult Comic voice he insists on using grates my nerves. Was an insanely talented artist, and although a move to more commercial music is inevitable I just couldn't listen anymore.
As for 50 cent, he didn't discover him, he already had quite the reputation for "How to Rob", even garnering a diss from Ghostface on the last track of Supreme Clientele. 50 was Eminem's favourite rapper, leading to his signing and mass promotion.
The new album isn't complete garbage, but it is decidedly average imo

I took a listen to the new album and although as usual the production and layering were excellently done, the overall album was just average. Lyrics were the same to expect, pretty revolting for the most part, but almost like a play...it is what it is. Just the whole vibe to the disk wasn't all that great. I always listen to albums more than once before deciding upon it, but it just lacked those big hits IMO, and I'd just barely give it a 3 out of 5.
