I agree. Campbell is a pretty right wing politician in a lot of ways.... at least by BC standards.

I know Green political philosophy in general supports the legalization of prostitution and some drugs... though I have no idea if the Canadian version of the movement has watered that aspect down or not.

Good news for BC and hopefully the boom in BC will continue to help Alberta as well. I also lived in BC for a while under the NDP and it was ugly. Campbell has done a good job and deserves to keep going.

What's truly appalling is that the 1990s was one of the World's most prosperous era with advances in productivity in leaps and bounds and somehow BC NDP made that era 'ugly.' I shudder to think and what people in the province would have to put up with if the NDP took the reins at a time like this.

They (the BC NDP) certainly have the opinion that taxpayers money is like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, that never runs out. I was involved in some government contracts (working for a private contractor) and the way they (the owner's reps) threw money around was appalling. Of couse it was all done under the guise of "job creation".

This was the epitomy of an election that got me out to vote because of who I really didn't want to win it. I'm not a big fan of the BC Liberals myself, but I remember being chased out by the epic mismanagement of the NDP previously. During times like this I think not changing governments will be good because at least the plan set forth can be followed and kept in action to get through it. Had there been a change in administration, than everything started would get scrapped and it would be start over again and that would be particularly disasterous. 4 years from now though...the NDP might be pretty pleased they didn't win this election and have to take the blame for this recession which is still going to be pretty tough for another year at least.
