Yes, he's a celebrity who makes millions of dollars that nobody here will ever see. Obviously, this means he needs to STFU and go spend a weekend in a private health resort somewhere.
Don't even get me started on the crack about how a guy who dropped out of high school can't have enough intelligence to educate himself on an issue as simple as vaccines.

...and the was the point of what Jim Carrey was saying. He wasn't saying vaccines are bad, he was saying that pumping these kids with 2x what other countries use is bad. Which is very much an accurate statement to make.

You're right on. But Tom Cruise on drugs really enlightened me though. Matt Laure was way to glib.

More accurately, most babies don't get those because they've been vaccinated to protect against them.

Since this topic has come up and clearly people here understand this matter quite well, I will ask this question:
What type of mercury, since it clearly isn't mercury in its elemental form, do they include in vaccines and what are the the harmful effects of that type of mercury?

Even though scientific studies have all indicated there is NO causal relationship between thiomersal (the source of mercury) and autism, it was still removed from MMR.

Well he did got to Google University after he met his girlfriend, so that's gotta be worth something. Whether his education on the matter makes him more qualified than, say, the faculty of Harvard Medical School, is the real question.
I personally don't think it makes him more qualified than those people. Do you?
I'm not sure why you included that fact that he's rich ("millions of dollars that nobody here will ever see"). Is that supposed to mean something? Britney Spears, Kid Rock and Mike Tyson all have millions of dollars that nobody here will ever see. Would you take medical advice from them?

And get 15 doses of aluminum, mercury, ether, formaldehyde and anti-freeze. That is the Major point.
Really??? Babies don't? Is that a guarantee? Did you get that in writing with witnesses and signatures? I think you're the first one to ever get that! Good job!

I was responding to the first few posts about how he's just another celebrity who should STFU.
...and what exactly is he saying that even remotely resembles medical advice? It's an issue that hits close to home with him and he's doing his own research and posting what he believes in.
Isn't that exactly what everyone does here, on a daily basis, in the Flames section of this board? Are we GMs or Coaches? I'm willing to bet some of the most vocal people in that section haven't left their couches in years, yet they know exactly how to fix our power play.
Would people rather that celebrities who are in a position to get things heard just keep their rich little mouths shut instead? Who's going to raise the issue then? You? Someone else here? Me? Not very likely.
This world's progress would some to a screeching halt in a heartbeat, if everyone sat on their hands and kept their mouths shut.
(For the record, I know absolutely nothing about this issue. I'm only responding to the posts that claimed he should STFU because he's a celebrity, and the other post who said the same thing because he dropped out of high school. It's not like the guy's preforming rocket surgery or something. He's researched some things about vaccines and posted his opinion on them. Not exactly PhD material.)

He and his dimwit girlfriend go on national television and tell people that vaccines gave her son autism. Unfortunately, there are people out there who believe this, despite the contrary evidence, and they decide to not have their own children vaccinated.
In other words, "taking medical advice from Jim Carrey".
It's not exactly what everyone does here on a daily basis. It's not even remotely similar.

Our life expectancy gets longer and longer, yet people claim conspiracy theories about how everyone is sicker because of modern medical technology. Odd.

Uh... you do know Tom Cruise is way high up in Scientology right? Scientology... the "religion" that was invented by a science fiction writer as a way to make "serious money". The "religion" that believes we are all infested with the souls of dead space aliens that were blown up in volcanoes billions of years ago by an evil galactic ruler named Xenu. The "religion" that believes that once you rid yourself of these dead alien souls you can obtain a level of "clear", and do amazing things like change the weather to suit your own needs, leave your body, cure all (yes, I typed "all) illness, etc.
Ya, anything Tom Cruise says on anything should automatically go to the top of the list of things you want to pay attention to.

I'm not sure your comments even justify an intelligent debate, but what is your data source to support your conclusions? Something tells me your opinions are derived from youtube videos...

The introduction of cleaner water and better waste disposal to North America is a huge factor in the increase of health. Places without these factors have major issues.

There is no guarantee that they won't still get sick with what you've injected into your child... You will never get one.
There are some great youtube video's out there. However this topic was researched by me 10 years ago from journals stating both sides. I learned that you need to ask questions when a doctor gives you anything. If they can't answer the are grossly negligent and unqualified to give there advice and prescriptions on that subject.

It's states directly that sanitation and clean drinking water directly affect the health of the population. Say's nothing about shooting up your arm.

I stated that the majority of people who receive vaccines never contract the disease for which they were vaccinated against. Are you actually disputing that fact? If so, please provide data that supports your position.
Polio, for example, was considered an epidemic in Canada during the 1950s, but thanks to the introduction of the polio vaccine, that disease is virtually non-existant in Canada now.
