No skipping. Might have to solicit a replacement though if he doesn't show this evening at some point.

Sorry about the wait guys, I got busy and completely forgot about this but alas I am reporting for duty!
With the 6th overall pick the Bengals take DT B.J Raji.

I think Raji is really a high risk/high reward type of pick. His stock really went up at the senior bowl, but has faded lately. He's a like the QBs in the draft... potential franchise players, but also potential busts. But I think someone will take a chance on him in the Top 10.
Dis, would you consider trading up for Raji, or do you think there's a chance he falls to #12?

I wouldn't trade up for him, but if he's there at 12 (and Orakpo is off the board which is a certainty IMO) I think Denver would have to take him.

With the 7th pick in the 2009 CP NFL Mock Draft, The Oakland Raiders select from Texas Tech...
Michael Crabtree
Oakland needs a WR threat to help out former #1 overall, Jamarcus Russell and Crabtree is a dynamic WR that can play in any situation.

Damn Oakland and their stealing of our pick.
With the 8th pick in the draft the Jacskonville Jaguars would like to select Jeremy Maclin, Wide Receiver, out of Missouri.
This guy will live up to the expectations that Matt Jones couldn't!!

I'm quite excited to finish this draft at around the same time most of these players will be announcing their retirements.

I believe the players the 49ers would want in this position are already taken. The media seems to be clamouring to SF to take Sanchez in this spot, and maybe they are playing coy, but I don't think the 49ers will go QB at #10. Ideally SF will trade down a few spots.
But since I can't do that, San Francisco 49ers select Michael Oher.
Even with Marvel Smith signing, the line has long been an injury issue for the team and Oher's abilities will suit the "4 yards and a cloud of dust" offense that it seems the 49ers are going to go with.

Nice pick... best guard in the draft IMO. 49ers will have a good young line next season.

The Buffalo Bills select Brian Cushing-OLB from USC.
I think Buffalo needs a playmaker on the outside.

Ideally, I would've loved to have thrown that option into this. After thinking about it, I didn't think we had enought time to accommodate trading.
Maybe, if we can get enough dedicated souls next year, we can do this a little earlier and all at once. Make an afternoon of it or something with a few weeks of trade time before the actual draft.

With the 12th pick in the 2009 calgarypuck.com mock draft, the Denver Broncos are thrilled to select from the University of Southern California, LB Rey Maulagua.

I don't think you can do it, simply because NFL draft trades all seem to encompass multiple picks over multiple rounds and years. I'm thinking that sticking to one or two rounds like you have it is best.
As it is, my know ledge of college players is limited to the ones my teams is looking at in the first round, then looking at positional requirements in subsequent rounds. More than a couple rounds and I am no better than Mel Kiper.

With the 13th pick, the Washington Redskins select from the University of Alabama, offensive tackle Andre Smith.
This is risk/reward pick for the Redskins, who desparately need help on their offensive line. Smith may be the most talented lineman in the draft, but his recent issues have hurt his stock. However, I personally feel that he's been unfairly labelled as "troubled", when in fact he really had some bad advice recently. It started with his uncle contacting another agent on his behalf, which led to his suspension from the Sugar Bowl. His real agent, 29-year old Alvin Keels -- a novice sports agent whose biggest client is the soon-to-be-unemployed Larry Johnson -- clearly didn't have him prepared for the combine, both physically and logistically. Smith fired Keels on Monday, and I think that speaks volumes about what has happened. Smith clearly isn't without risk... but he's far from the troubled player that some people make him out to be. He comes highly recommended from Nick Saben, even after the suspension, and that's enough for me...

With the 14th pick, the New Orleans Saints select from Ohio State University,
CB Malcolm Jenkins.
Hard not to take the best defensive back in the draft, I think the Saints will transition him to Safety, a huge need position.

Wow that seems high. I guess Denver could use a solid 3-4 LB, but in most drafts he's supposed to fall to the 20's.

Maybe. But I'm not interested in looking up mock drafts and picking what the experts think they will pick. I think Rey is a stud. Junior Seau reincarnated. Has the same wonderful weakness as Seau even.

I don't understand why he is falling (personally I like it because he would be great for Detroit at 20. The exact guy that they need on that defense.)
He doesn't have issues physically that would come up at the draft, he was the best defensive player on a top 5 team at college, played top level of talent and consistently made big plays.
I personally don't see any faults that would cause him to fall other than he has been good for so long that scouts eventually just start to look for faults since they have already talked about the positives so long.
Also, it isn't like USC has a history of producing crap pro players that might raise red flags as well. Their guys have been better than any other univeristy when it comes to transitioning to the pros.
